Yemen’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulwahid Abu Ras said Yemen is closely monitoring Zionist activities involving the traitor and the agent Abdulrahman Muhammad “Aro".

He argued that Aro is attempting to transform Hargeisa, Berbera, and parts of Somalia outside federal control into an international operations arena run by the Israeli enemy, with the Somali people bearing the consequences.

Speaking to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Abu Ras said Somalia would be the biggest loser, adding that such movements aim to weaken its unity and sovereignty by fragmenting the country and turning its territory into a theater of regional and international conflict. He warned that the repercussions would extend beyond Somalia to the wider region, posing serious risks to stability and security.

He stressed the need to confront such conspiracies, saying the only beneficiary would be the Israeli enemy, which seeks to entrench its presence in the Horn of Africa at the expense of Somali interests. He urged Somali political actors to remain vigilant and avoid misleading promises regarding Zionist presence in the region.

The Deputy Minister further warned that the Zionist project is not limited to Somalia, but represents a broader threat to regional security, potentially dragging the region into wider conflict.

He described the presence as a “ticking time bomb” and called on regional states to fully understand expansionist Israeli ambitions, warning that silence would carry heavy costs.

Abu Ras reaffirmed that Yemen possesses the will and capability to safeguard its strategic security and is prepared to contribute to regional stability, stressing that the security of Yemen and the region remains a “red line.”

The Horn of Africa is witnessing heightened strategic competition over ports, maritime corridors, and geopolitical footholds, amid growing concerns in regional capitals over recent Israeli diplomatic and security movements in the area, particularly in coastal and port-linked zones.
