Acting Taiz Governor Ahmed Al-Massawi has urged residents of Taiz, Hodeidah and the southern provinces recruited to fight alongside Saudi-backed forces to leave and stay away from Saudi enemy camps before it is too late.

In remarks on Sunday evening, Al-Massawi praised Yemeni Armed Forces operations targeting the Saudi Aramco refinery in Jizan, as well as Saudi enemy troop concentrations and weapons depots in Mokha.

He confirmed that Saudi Arabia is supplying its local allies with various weapons in an attempt to inflict further harm on Yemenis and obstruct Yemen’s efforts to end the Saudi aggression and blockade, which has continued for 12 years.

Al-Massawi concluded that the latest developments reinforce the equation of blockade-for-blockade and escalation-for-escalation, while stressing that Yemen’s cause is just and that Saudi actions have produced severe humanitarian consequences.

Earlier, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced Sunday that they had carried out a large-scale military operation targeting Saudi military concentrations, reinforcements, and weapons depots in the Al-Mokha area, saying the strikes scored accurate hits and resulted in the destruction of military equipment and the deaths and injuries of dozens of personnel, including Saudi nationals

The Armed Forces also urged Saudi-backed Yemeni fighters to leave military camps and return to their areas, warning them against becoming fuel for foreign-backed projects.
