The Yemeni Military Media released footage on Sunday evening showing the launch of multiple ballistic missiles and drones targeting Saudi enemy mobilizations and weapons depots in Al-Mokha, located on the western coast of Taiz Governorate.
The footage depicted the launch of large volleys of ballistic missiles, alongside the flight and launch of numerous drones directed toward the designated targets.
The footage also demonstrated the Yemeni Armed Forces’ ability to coordinate missile and drone operations and synchronize their launches to strike targets simultaneously despite differences in flight times.
The release was presented as evidence of the military capabilities and technologies employed in the operations, confirming that the attacks were intended to disrupt Saudi escalation plans and repeatedly strike Saudi-backed forces.
The operation comes amid heightened tensions between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, with the Yemeni Armed Forces repeatedly warning that Saudi military movements and buildups will be met with direct retaliation. Sana'a has framed its recent military actions as part of a broader strategy aimed at deterring further Saudi escalation and pressuring Riyadh to end its blockade and military campaign.
The latest operation also follows a series of Yemeni strikes targeting Saudi military positions and concentrations, as well as maritime measures against Saudi-linked shipping. Yemeni authorities have said they will continue monitoring Saudi military activity and respond to preparations for further attacks, while maintaining the blockade-for-blockade and escalation-for-escalation equation.
