Speech by Al-Sayyid Abdul Malik Badruddin Al-Houthi on the Latest Developments
Thursday, Rajab21, 1445 AH (February 1, 2024 AD)
I seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan, the outcast.
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
Praise is to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. I believe that there is no god but Allah, the Sovereign and the Manifest Truth, and that Muhammad, our master, is His servant, Messenger, and Last Prophet.
O Allah, confer Your salat and blessings upon Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad as You conferred Your salat and blessings upon Ibrahim and the Family of Ibrahim. You are Owner of Praise, Owner of Glory! And be pleased with Muhammad's good companions and all Your righteous servants and mujahidin.
Brothers and sisters, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
Today, we speak as we are at the end of the sixteenth week since the beginning of the savage, criminal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. This is because it is important to continue following up the events there and the aggression targeting the Palestinian people by the Israeli enemy. Also, it is important to continue taking a position and pushing towards the right position, which falls within our religious, humanitarian, ethical responsibility.
The Israeli enemy continues unabated, as it has been over 117 days since the start of its aggression on Gaza. It persists in committing all types of crimes, the most heinous in their classification and in their magnitude, starting with acts of genocide and mass killings. On a daily basis (every twenty-four hours), the toll amounts to hundreds of martyrs and wounded individuals!
According to the announced statistics, the number of victims of genocide has reached 34,000 martyrs and missing persons. Those missing persons are the martyrs under the rubble. Usually, what is documented is the numbers of martyrs who arrive at hospitals or who are martyred after reaching hospitals. However, there are large numbers of martyrs who do not reach hospitals, as they get killed under the rubble or within the same neighborhoods, in residential areas.
Within the context of acts of genocide, there are cases where the Israeli enemy kills civilians after arresting them. It detains and handcuffs individuals from the citizens, from the locals. It arrests and handcuffs them, in some cases strips them naked in a blatant violation of human dignity, and then executes them in cold blood. These are numerous and recurring cases in the Gaza Strip.
Acts of genocide are witnessed in various parts of the world, and everyone who follows the events and watches television sees extremely painful scenes of martyrs, including children, women, and people of all ages, in the dozens every day. Most of these victims are children and women. These are extremely painful and tragic scenes of individuals being killed by the Israeli enemy using American bombs, missiles, and shells, as well as weapons obtained from other countries, such as Britain, Germany, and other countries that supply it with means of killing and destruction that it uses to target the Palestinian people.
In the crimes of targeting the Palestinian people, there are martyrs and there are the wounded. The wounded are in large numbers, and due to the tragedy, they are experiencing, a significant number of them soon join the ranks of the martyrs. The number of the wounded has reached over sixty-five thousand—a very large number! They suffer greatly due to the lack of medical supplies and necessities. One of the most painful and tragic scenes of the suffering of the wounded is the surgical operations and amputations that are performed without the availability of anesthesia, which doctors need for surgeries and amputations. It is often unavailable, even for surgeries on children and amputations for children, which occur at a daily average rate of ten cases, considering amputations, let alone surgical operations!
The scenes witnessed by people on television and in videos shared on social media platforms are incredibly too painful! They reveal the magnitude of extremely immense suffering, tragedy, and injustice that is a curse upon the Americans, the Israelis, and all those who contribute to this terrible, heinous, horrific criminality against the Palestinian people, against the children of Gaza, and against the people of Gaza. This is part of the immense suffering!
The suffering of the wounded also with the targeting of hospitals. The Israeli enemy, with audacity and a distinct conduct—no one has dared to reach such a level of criminality, moral bankruptcy, and audacity—openly declares hospitals as primary targets for its military operations. All countries, entities, groups, and parties involved in conflicts or wars avoid such disgraceful audacity, which reflects the utmost inhumanity and moral bankruptcy. However, the Israeli enemy is bold in committing such despicable acts, criminality, and brutality, and it continues to do so since the beginning of its aggression on the Gaza Strip till today. Whenever it targets a camp, a city, or a neighborhood, it makes the hospital its primary objective of its military operation there, starting by Al-Shifa complex to Nasser Medical Complex and others. How many hospitals and healthcare units has it destroyed with airstrikes? And how many hospitals and health centers that it makes targets for military operations in order to reach them? When it reaches them, it bombards them and targets the medical staff, killing some of them and arresting others. It also makes the medical staff targets for killing and detention because it does not want any healthcare service providers to remain for the Palestinian people. It does not want these services to be available in terms of staff, who are essential for providing this service; indeed, medical staff are needed. It does not want infrastructure, such as hospitals or centers, to be available. And it does not want necessary resources and means to be available, nor does it want medications to be accessible. It has made them among the prohibited items that are denied entry to different parts of the Gaza Strip. This is terrible criminality and a complete bankruptcy of any trace of humanity.
As for patients, they are suffering immensely. There are more than seven thousand cases of infectious diseases among the displaced population. The majority of Gaza's residents have become displaced, with nearly two million people displaced in total. Nearly two million displaced persons are suffering at this alarming level: more than seven thousand cases of infectious diseases, in addition to other existing illnesses such as chronic diseases, cancer, kidney failure, liver diseases, diabetes, and others. Many are those who require travel abroad for treatment, including the injured who need treatment abroad. All of these are enduring extreme, unbearable suffering; however, medications are not available for them. There is a severe shortage of medications, causing very tremendous suffering, while the world watches !
The Israeli enemy has included medications and medical supplies among the prohibited items. Within its siege on the people of Gaza, it denies them access to medicine and medical supplies. Even oxygen cylinders are prevented from reaching them. It wants to murder them using all means of killing and to seek to annihilate them. It is actively striving to exterminate them through all means, including this suffering at the healthcare level, which it seeks to exploit as a means of extermination.
The Zionist enemy also continues to enforce a severe blockade. There are deaths from hunger among the displaced and the residents. There are also extremely distressing scenes of some residents of Gaza as they grind animal feed and consume it out of utmost necessity. There are heartbreaking scenes of them while drinking seawater, which is neither potable nor fresh, but they do so out of sheer necessity. The suffering has reached such a level, a profoundly painful suffering, as a result of the Israeli enemy's severe blockade; it prevents delivery of food to them. There remains absolutely no consideration for internationally recognized rights or what is so-called International Law, which weak countries are obligated to abide by but holds no value if it contradicts American or Israeli interests, or if it does not align with the criminal Israeli or American conduct. The only ones bound by it are the Arabs and the countries targeted by America. There are no resolutions, laws, customs, religious principles, ethics, humanity, or any regard some people here or there may attribute value to in their behavioral obligations, dealings, positions, or wars. All of this is disregarded by the Israelis who have surpassed everything! There are excessive bloodshed, incredibly brutal savagery, and extremely heinous criminality, which contribute to immense suffering for the Palestinian people.
With the prolonged duration of the aggression, the continuing siege day after day, and the increasing of the extremely immense suffering of the Palestinian people as a result of the severe blockade, the killings, destruction, displacement, and confiscation of agricultural lands and homes, the new position from the Israeli side emerges . Then the American side has fully adopted the campaign against UNRWA, Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, which has been in existence for a long time and is affiliated with the United Nations. It provides limited, modest services, at a limited level, for the people of Gaza under Western and American supervision, with a fundamental role in monitoring from these entities, and implementation by the United Nations. It is specifically targeted at this stage, especially in these days, and after what? after the resolution of the International Court of Justice, what is known as the Court of Justice, to halt the crimes of killing and genocide against the people of Gaza. Following its resolution (after which it has been expected that food and medical supplies would be permitted to reach the Palestinian people in Gaza and that this resolution would contribute to curb the acts of genocide committed against them), the campaign against UNRWA and its activities, along with the suspension of aid provided through it by a group of countries, took place.
The Americans have taken the lead in targeting UNRWA and urged other countries to suspend the limited, modest, meager assistance provided through it to the Palestinian people in Gaza. That is, at this time, after the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza has reached its harshest level and most challenging conditions, the Americans seek to halt this very limited, simple, minimal level of assistance provided through this agency to the Palestinian people. This reflects extremely horrifying brutality and incredibly heinous criminality! They are attempting to ensure that the Palestinian people, including the residents of Gaza, have , no means to sustain themselves (for some of them) and no security (although they have never had security). Even in the schools they sought refuge in, they have not found security, despite the fact that these schools are under the supervision of UNRWA and, therefore, fall within the framework of United Nations protection. Nevertheless, many schools have been targeted, resulting in martyrs and wounded individuals among the displaced as a result of them being targeted by the Israeli enemy. This, however, highlights the extent of American tyranny and the humanitarian bankruptcy of the West. A group of Western countries joined the Americans in announcing the suspension of their assistance through UNRWA, which is (as we said) extremely limited. Yet they attempt to prevent even this limited aid and simplest assistance from reaching the Palestinian people in order to deepen their oppression and persecution.
The suffering of the displaced from hunger, illness, bombardment, and even climate conditions in the absence of basic life necessities is incredibly immense!
In the face of all that, in the face of this tragic situation, and in the face of the evident and significant injustice recognized by the whole world, there is a continued abandonment from the international community. Many major countries do not take any serious action to stop the injustice against the Palestinian people, to halt the Israeli criminality against the Palestinian people. When what is so-called the International Court of Justice issued a decision, it was a weak decision that did not live up to the standards of justice. The correct position and fair decision were a decision – or even a sentence not just a decision – to halt the aggression and siege on the Palestinian people in Gaza, as well as to stop the Zionist criminality against the residents of the West Bank, for they suffer daily from killings, home invasions, abductions from their homes, and displacement from their homes in other areas of Palestine, and so on. So the just position and the fair judgment are to prevent the aggression and blockade against the Palestinian people and to prevent the criminality committed by the Israeli enemy against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the rest of Palestine. However, it is well known that international institutions are largely subjected by American influence. And if the situation reaches a point where significant injustice in some issues is clearly evident, and the truth is clear in them, to an extent where a contrasting position becomes a glaring scandal for those institutions that present themselves as international institutions and if they take a position, even at the minimum level, we find this position without effectiveness or impact, why? That is because the Americans intervene directly, and thus, the Israeli enemy, as a result of American intervention, is almost exempt from all decisions and judgments, and from all the positions declared by those international institutions, whether they are in the form of a decision, assessment, protest, condemnation, statement, or otherwise.
It is a great shame for countries that the Israeli enemy is an accepted member of the United Nations. Its entry as a member of the United Nations, from the beginning, has been contrary to justice, contrary to right, and contrary to fairness. It has been a crime against the Palestinian people because everyone knows that the Israeli enemy, since its inception and presence in Palestine under British protection and support, has been involved in usurping and killing, and it has no legitimacy at all. Its presence in Palestine is usurping, killing, criminality, aggression, and occupation. From that day till today, throughout decades, it has continued its daily crimes, which escalate in certain stages, as is the case now in the Gaza Strip.
There are free voices within the European and Western societies that have openly started to oppose American and Western policies of their overt support for the Israeli enemy, as its true nature becomes increasingly evident due to the availability of social media platforms and the penetration of media blackouts. That is because the Jewish lobby controls public opinion in the United States and Europe through its dominance over the media and its utilization for its own benefit. But with the activities carried out by communities and with certain media activities that contribute to conveying the oppression faced by the Palestinian people and the magnitude of the tragedy the Palestinian people suffer resulting from Israeli aggression, some individuals have awakened. There has been a breakthrough in the media blackout which is for the favour of the Jewish lobby, and as a result, voices have started to emerge within Western societies expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people and discussing their oppression. These are very important, and they are significant indicators. We hope that awareness expands within Western society regarding this injustice and tragedy. We also hope that Arab and Islamic communities, especially the Yemeni community, continue to contribute consistently to conveying the oppression faced by the Palestinian people and disseminating videos that provide a vivid portrayal of their plight, which is a tragedy and injustice in itself and which should evoke empathy from any person who retains a shred of humanity. It may stir some active consciences and contribute to a wider global movement in support of the Palestinian people, in contrast to the official abandonment and complicity with the Israeli enemy, as well as the support provided by official systems and institutions in Western societies to the Israeli enemy.
In the Islamic world, including the Arab region and other areas, the prevailing position of many regimes and rulers, in general, is still characterized by the continued dereliction. The events continue; the oppression persists; and the tragedy worsens, yet their consciences remain dormant: They are in a state of slumber, and they have not taken action. It is regrettable that there are also reports about some Arab and Muslim countries supplying goods to the Israeli enemy due to the lack of goods as a result of the Yemeni position in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait: Some Arab countries—some Muslim countries in the Arab world and elsewhere have turned to supplying goods to the Israeli enemy, which is extremely unfortunate! While they are failing the Palestinian people in Gaza who are in desperate need for food and medicine, who are in the toughest conditions, and who are dying of hunger, some of them are offering fruits to the Israeli enemy and supplying it with various goods. This is an extremely unfortunate situation!
As much as the situation in the Gaza Strip has reached an unprecedented level of immense suffering and tragedy, unlike anything witnessed in any other region of the world, the responsibility on Muslims in the Arab world and elsewhere (more than anyone else) is extremely significant. They should take action earnestly, just as they do for other issues where the Americans permit or request their involvement in previous events and time periods, such as the events in Afghanistan during the Soviet Union era: Because the Americans wanted them to act, they acted formally, mobilized their people, operated on all levels, and directed their religious scholars affiliated with their official systems to issue fatwas declaring the obligation of jihad. Where is their action towards the tragedy of the Palestinian people in Gaza? Where is their response to the oppression faced by the Palestinian people in all of Palestine and in Gaza? Where is their act, even if it is a minimal level of action compared to their act ? Why ? That is because the Americans do not want them to do so, and it is evident that they are attempting to overlook the situation and ignore the tragedy that occurs. Furthermore, some even criticize and offend those who take action, attempting to discourage any serious movement from here or there.
The hounrable, important, correct, and great position is the resilience of the mujahidin in Gaza, despite the magnitude of the aggression and the immense tragedy and suffering. Last week, we mentioned that this is unprecedented in the Arab-Israeli conflict: a battle with this level of Zionist criminality, utilizing the weapons provided to them by the West and that it has. In the face of such levels of bombardment, destruction, killing, and siege, and amid that suffering and the limited resources available to the mujahidin in Palestine, they continue to demonstrate their resilience. The days are increasing in number and the battle is getting prolonged, but they still persist in their resilience effectively and torment the Israeli enemy. When it resorts to manic and indiscriminate shelling and engages in comprehensive killings of civilians and residents, it seeks to achieve some form of accomplishment, even though that accomplishment is criminality, the killing of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
One of the most significant, striking, remarkable developments this week was the rocket bombardment by the Al-Qassam Brigades on Tel Aviv. This operation is extremely important and carries great significance. After all this time (as we are in the sixteenth week of the brutal, heinous aggression; of the complete destruction of Gaza; of the invasion of camps, cities, and towns in Gaza; of the razing and destruction; and of Israeli talk of control and presentation of illusory achievements), despite all that, there comes the rocket bombardment from Gaza to Tel Aviv in these days. This indicates the extent of resilience and divine support for the mujahidin in Gaza, as well as their steadfastness and that they are in a state of unity and strength, contrary to the wishes of the Israeli enemy and the narrative it promotes through its media outlets, depicting that they are on the verge of eliminating them and ending the battle. The Israeli enemy has experienced clear bankruptcy and failure, failing to achieve its objectives, failing to fully control the situation in the Gaza Strip, and failing to decisively win the battle. On the other hand, the Palestinian mujahidin in Gaza have achieved significant success. As we mentioned in our speech last week, this is a testimony to the Arabs, a testimony to all Muslims, for if they had only acted to support the mujahidin in Gaza, mujahidin in Palestine as a whole, and the Palestinian people and providing them with the material capabilities, they would have acted with great effectiveness, confronting Israeli tyranny and aggression, and reaching the important goal of liberating all of Palestine.
This recent development holds great importance, and continuous resilience, daily courageous fighting, and persistent confrontation carry a crucial message. It represents the rightful and correct position in the face of Israeli aggression, and it should be supported and praised: This resilience should be appreciated and supported by all free people of the Ummah and by all free people worldwide.
Additionally, at the level of supporting fronts, Hezbollah, from its side, continues its daily operations and sacrifices martyrs almost every day. The front in Lebanon, along the borders with Palestine, is a hot front, which painful and very disturbing for the Israeli enemy. Hezbollah persists in this battle. There is also continued activity from the brotherly mujahidin in Iraq, the last of which was is what happened just yesterday in their operations, targeting the Israeli enemy, and they have emphasized that they will continue their operations and persist in them.
As for our front in Yemen which is one of the fronts that took the lead since the beginning of the events in Gaza, within a comprehensive and complete position at all levels, particularly at the military level. Last week, we spoke about the previous operations, and the outcome during this week is as follows: ten operations in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait that targeted ships linked with the Israeli, American, and British enemy. The position (thanks to Allah) regarding the maritime operations is effective and impactful, and the Israeli enemy has become desperate about the possibility of sustaining maritime navigation in its favour in the Red Sea through the Bab al-Mandeb Strait; it has become desperate. The movement of ships towards the port of Eilat (the port of Umm al-Rashrash, which is called Eilat by the enemy) or any other port in Palestine for the benefit of the Israeli enemy has rendered weak and very limited. The movement has become rare. There is accurate and strong monitoring by the brothers in the armed forces, and they also have power over them to obtain the necessary information to determine whether a ship's destination is in the interest of the Israeli enemy and which port in the occupied Palestinian it is heading to. Therefore, with this capability to obtain information, there is also strong readiness to target any ship destined for the benefit of the Israeli enemy.
When the United States and Britain entangled themselves in service of Zionism, submitting and implementing the orders of the Jewish Zionist lobby, they placed themselves in a predicament. Thus, targeting them, their warships, ships, and hostile movement in the Red Sea continued. Our armed forces are the ones who actually provide security for international navigation in the Red Sea. We mentioned last week a significant number of ship movements belonging to other countries and that our people, our country, and our armed forces have proven effectively that the only target is the ships linked to the Israeli enemy. Therefore, ships of other countries move safely and peacefully, and those who coordinate with naval forces pass without any problem, except when the Americans sometimes intervene in an attempt to create problems for some ships. They have been exposed in several operations of this kind, as they try to get some ships to worry. However, the Americans in their aggression and attempts to protect Israeli ships have clearly failed, and they admit that they have failed and that they are unable to support ships linked to the Israeli enemy. In the beginning, the Americans portrayed that their aggressive operations to protect Israeli ships would achieve their objective and provide them with protection. They attempted to flex their muscles and to act with arrogance, pride, and tyranny (as is the American approach that boasts of its aggression against nations) presenting deceptive titles to gain cooperation from other countries. However, they failed, and their failure is evident (thanks to Allah). The British also clearly failed alongside them. They are unable to even protect their own ships. Even their warships are targeted. Destroyers, frigates, and military vessels have been targeted. Indeed, their ships and naval units, which are supposed to be combative, are targeted, so they cannot provide protection for Israeli ships.
The Israeli enemy must completely despair of the possibility of continuing its navigation and movement of its commercial ships through the Bab al-Mandeb Strait in the Red Sea. It must despair. As it continues to deprive the people of Gaza of access to food and medicine, persists its brutal criminality, commits mass killing against the Palestinian people in Gaza, we cannot remain silent, watching our brothers in Gaza . It must pay a high price for these actions.
Therefore, we continue with our military position at this level in naval operations, with all forms of targeting and with all our capabilities. We persist, and as long as the aggression and siege on Gaza continue, we will not stop, regardless of the American position that basically will not affect the effectiveness of our position. Concerning the level of effectiveness, our country's position is effective and influential. Despite the technological capabilities of the Americans, they have been unable to protect Israeli ships. They are completely incapable of achieving the goal of their aggression. With their aggression for the sake of protecting Israeli ships, they have put themselves in a predicament and trouble; they were well off without it. The American president himself, when making the decision to launch the aggression on our country to protect Israeli ships, violated the American constitution. There are protests within Congress from some members and also within the American community against this violation of the constitution: How can he make a decision to wage war and aggression against a country without consulting Congress and fund this aggression with American taxpayers' money to only fulfil and respond to the orders of the Zionist Jewish lobby? There are problems in the United States now.
America, in its sponsorship and open support for Israeli tyranny and criminality, and its tyranny against oppressed peoples, will never escape divine punishment in this life and the Hereafter. The state of tyranny, extremely heinous criminality against peoples, and great injustice has severe consequences. This is Allah’s law. The Americans who worship the Zionist Jewish lobby will not be an exception from this divine law with regards to the severe consequences for the oppressors, criminals, and arrogant tyrants. Allah (Glory be to Him) spoke the truth when He said in the Holy Quran, {‘Indeed, your Lord is truly vigilant’}.
Instead of opening wars and launching aggression against our country and other countries, the American president should first focus on the crises within his own country and the problems created by his policies. The world has witnessed the latest crisis in the United States between the governor of the State of Texas and the American president, which almost escalated to the point of conflict and brought about significant tension. It was on the verge of a civil war in America. American tyranny will bring calamities upon itself, and it will not be exempt from the divine way among His servants, in terms of the severe consequences for tyrants and oppressors.
In any case, our military position persists, and it is effective and influential. The American aggression and crimes in violating the sovereignty of our country will not affect our position. Instead, it motivates us to further enhance our military capabilities. This is evident to the Americans themselves, as they witness the development of the missiles launched by the Yemeni armed forces. They observe this progress and take note of it.
The British, too, acted in response to the orders of the Zionist Jewish lobby, involving their country in a problem it did not need, impacting their country and economy. The British should learn a lesson from their ship that remained in flames from night to night. They should take heed that they will harm themselves and their economy without any result or achieving the goal of protecting Israeli ships. Their strikes are futile. If they promote and announce airstrikes or missile attacks, they are unsuccessful and have no effect. They do not diminish our missile capabilities or our drones, and they have no impact on that.
One of the signs of failure is America's attempt to seek assistance from China to mediate and persuade us to halt our positions and supportive operations for the Palestinian people against Israeli ships and ships linked to the Israeli enemy so that the Americans can feel at ease.
The Chinese are aware of their interests. They understand that it is not in their best interest to follow the lead of the Americans. The Chinese are well aware of what the Americans are doing in Taiwan and what they have done in the context of targeting China, imposing economic sanctions, and seeking to curb its economic growth. The Chinese are familiar with the hostile policies of the United States against them, and they fully understand the extent of the American conspiracy through the Taiwan issue. Therefore, China will not involve itself in serving the United States or acting in its interests.
In terms of our military position, as we have mentioned, it is effective (thanks to Allah), and it is increasing (Allah willing) with greater and more precise development and stronger strikes, by the will of Allah, the Almighty.
At the level of popular activities, which are an essential and important part of our dear people's position, there is an activity of great importance and value, which is military mobilization. This is one of the most important activities in which our dear people are engaged, in the context of their readiness and raising the level of this readiness in support of the Palestinian people. There is widespread participation from many of our people in terms of military mobilization in the popular domain. There are also extensive activities in training and qualification operations with the aim of raising readiness at the military level. The statistics provided by those involved in this work indicate that there have been training and qualification courses for 165,429 trainees in various provinces, in open courses and at limited levels. These courses have not covered all regions yet; that is, the courses opened for military training and joining military mobilization have been limited to certain areas so far. The remaining courses have not been opened in all areas and towns where this activity can be conducted. For example, there are activities in the capitals of some provinces and directorates, in their administrative centers, but this activity has not yet reached many areas. Nonetheless, the number of trainees has reached this large number: 165,429 trainees. This is in addition to a very large number: during the period of aggression on our country, there were 600,000 trainees in general training, leadership training, and specialized training, according to the statistics provided by those involved in training. When this number is added, it is an addition to the training activities that took place in the previous stage. All these capabilities and potentials in our country, including everything that has been built, prepared, and equipped, are in service of this position: Everyone is ready, with all passion, eagerness, resolution, determination, and serious will to act within the framework of supporting the Palestinian people. Training and qualification activities within the mobilization framework continue and will expand (Allah willing) to reach many areas, to provide the opportunity for those who want to join this activity. This activity is extremely important.
That is why I recommend joining this activity within the framework of training and qualification and the framework of formation and discipline, for this raises the level of readiness, and as I mentioned, it is an addition to what is already ready: those who have been trained and qualified and are hundreds of thousands since the past stage. And all of this is in addition to our dear people, who are armed and an army. The Yemeni people are a ready, armed, experienced army in dealing with events. Most important of all is their trust in Allah (Glory be to Him), their reliance on Him (the Almighty), their jihadist spirit, their Quranic culture, their high awareness, and their moral credit. That is why their position carries this weight and importance.
The United States will not succeed in exaggerating its failed, ineffective strikes, nor in its ridiculous designations that hold no value. In the face of the United States are these people who are experienced in facing challenges and suffering and live the meaning of pride, freedom, and dignity. They are people who have a faith-based identity, moving forward with trust in Allah (Glory be to Him), with relying on Him, and with depending on Him. That is why, with their strong credit of faith, ethics, and values, and with what they are accustomed to and what they have experienced, they are effective and impactful, and their position remains steadfast.
The Americans, the British, and behind them the Zionist Jewish lobby should take note that the consequences and impacts of their criminality against the Palestinian people in Gaza are fueling the movement of these peoples, their conscious direction driven by awareness and a sense of responsibility, and they have contrary results to their objectives of breaking the will of our peoples and imposing a state of submission and surrender on our nation. This is a very important matter.
When they realize that their arrogance, attacks, injustice, and criminality against the peoples of our Ummah here or there will only increase the movement of these peoples, their determination, their awareness of their responsibility, and their understanding of the correct actions and solutions that empower them to confront their enemies, they will come to realize that the outcome is contrary to what they are doing against our Ummah and its people.
At another level, there are other activities that are among the most important activities for our dear people, such as marches, demonstrations, events, and protests. As we mentioned in earlier speeches, there is a distinct activity of our dear people that no other people in the Islamic world (whether in Arab countries or elsewhere) or in any other country in the world have joined a turnout like our dear people in regards to mass momentum and the scenes of the million-person mass gatherings in the capital, Sana'a, in Al-Sabaeen Square, as well as in other provinces. The turnouts in the provinces have also been very significant. When we consider the overall picture of this million-person mobilization in Sana'a and the other provinces, we realize that there is great momentum in the mass turnout of our dear people.
At the level of activities and protests, there are continuous and almost daily activities that hardly ever cease. They have also reached a significant level in terms of numbers, with wide and large-scale participation. In terms of numbers, they have reached a substantial level and an advanced percentage. The number of marches in the capital and the provinces has reached 1,351, which is an extremely large number that may not be matched by any other country.
As for the level of protests and demonstrations, which are usually smaller in scale but very numerous in many areas, their number has reached 43,646, which is an immensely high number. What does this indicate? It indicates awareness, a sense of responsibility, and the human emotions carried by our dear people who have tender hearts, compassionate souls, human sense, and alive consciences. It indicates that they feel the oppression, suffering, and tragedy of the Palestinian people and that their hearts are not hardened to the extent that they cannot feel the immense suffering, tragedy, and injustice faced by the Palestinian people.
This also indicates their awareness of the importance of taking action, and the negativity of inactivity, dereliction, silence, and surrender. This stage requires movement, a clear position, and a significant mobilization that matches the enormity of the injustice faced by the Palestinian people. Therefore, this movement complements, embraces, supports, and forms the basis for the military position, which is the culmination of this position.
Our people's movement is not limited to marches and demonstrations; it is part of a comprehensive, embracing, supportive position to the military position and to movement at all levels. The position of our country is officially and popularly integrated, and it is also integrated at the military, political, and media levels, as well as at all levels. This is the correct position that should continue because the savage, brutal, and criminal Israeli aggression continues, and the oppression of the Palestinian people persists. Therefore, this activity should continue.
This movement is taken into account by the enemies a thousand times over. When a military position is taken—when our armed forces target the American battleship or destroyer, the ship associated with the Israeli enemy, or the British ship involved in protecting Zionist criminality and participating in aggression against our country—the Americans remember that behind this strike and operation are the people who have taken into streets in their millions and millions of their sons in the capital and in the rest of the provinces. They remember that massive popular scene, which expresses this position, supports this position, and demands this position, which is expressed by that position, expressing their will, their demand, their orientation, and their decision. They take into account thousands of calculations; that is why since the beginning of these events, since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, we have been focusing on popular presence and massive turnout of a million people. That is because it holds extremely immense significance to make the Americans know that the military position represents the position of the Yemeni people and expresses their will. It also holds great importance to make us mobilize in a general sense, as it is a large-scale responsibility; everyone should work in it to the best of their abilities. This is a collective responsibility and an honourable position, and it is a great act that drags you closer to Allah (Glory be to Him).
In this era, those who raise their voices against American, Israeli, and British tyranny on the Palestinian people, on our country, and on our Ummah and those who have a clear position in denouncing them and resisting their tyranny in every possible way are the ones who move in the right position, which is part of their faith. It is also a humanitarian position, a wise position, and a position that serves the interests of the Ummah.
It is in the best interest of our Ummah to be strong in the face of its enemies, not to live in a situation that is tempting to them, which is a state of surrender and submission. The state where peoples remain silent, voiceless, submissive, desperate, subdued, and lacking a position and a voice are the extremely dangerous positions that make our enemies harbour desire for us. We can easily assess the significant difference in the American, Israeli, and British perspective towards our country and towards submissive, silent, and voiceless nations that lack a position and a voice. Indeed, our country has chosen a position in support of the Palestinian people, and this honourable, responsible, humanitarian, and ethical position has earned admiration from many freedom-loving individuals across the world. Even in Western countries, there are voices that support and express great admiration for this position. In our Islamic world, many people from our Ummah have found great comfort in this position and believe that it represents the correct, integral position, which reflects the position that is expected of all members of our Ummah: This is how everyone should position themselves and take action with this level of effective movement.
In this context, I greatly applaud the brothers who work and contribute to the success of military training with regards to activities related to military mobilization, as well as all other activities. They operate within the framework of these activities, at the level of spreading awareness, at the level of educating, and at the level of organizing protests and marches. When their intentions are sincere with Allah, their contribution and role become a form of jihad in the path of Allah.
Participating in these demonstrations, responding to the command of Allah (Almighty) – Who has ordered us to take action and to have a clear position against oppressors, criminals, and the arrogant ones, as well as against any tyranny, such as Israeli, American, and British tyranny – is part of the jihad in the path of Allah. It is important to act in response to Allah.
There is activity, which may be considered distinctive for our people, in the issue of boycott. There is a boycott of American and Israeli goods, with an official decision and popular support. However, this matter also needs more attention at the level of our country's reality and encouraging other countries to join in. That is because it is accessible to everyone: Every Muslim individual can make a decision in terms of their purchases and what they need by boycotting American and Israeli goods. This is impactful on the enemies. And for anyone who falls short even in such a step, their negligence is very serious.
During the time of the Messenger Muhammad (PBUH&F), Allah issued a command to boycott a single word that the Jews were exploiting against Islam and against the Messenger (PBUH&F), in what they intended of one of its meanings. Allah (the Almighty) revealed His saying, {‘O you who have believed, do not say 'Ra'ina' but say 'Unzurna' and listen. And the disbelievers will suffer a painful punishment’}. This was a boycott of a single word that the Jews benefited from by using it in an offensive meaning, let alone the benefits reaped by the Zionist Jews and those who finance their activities: the Americans who provide them with open support and reap billions from the Islamic world. They reap billions from Egypt, from Islamic countries, and from Gulf countries and obtain immense wealth from Arab countries. The boycott is an effective, accessible weapon. If people reach a point where they do nothing and say nothing but, instead, contribute to providing what benefits the enemies, it is tremendous negligence and great dereliction. The consequences of such actions are terrible to the individual's relationship with Allah, as well as humanitarian and moral bankruptcy.
At the level of media activity, there is distinctiveness (thanks to Allah) in the media activity of media activists pursuing this direction in our country. This activity must continue, develop, expand, and incorporate creativity. Furthermore, the transmission of Palestinian oppression should remain a continuous matter, and the tragic image of the suffering of the Palestinian people (as a result of the savage, brutal, criminal Israeli aggression) should reach people. This is because a single scene of tragedy may have a greater impact than a hundred lectures and a thousand words.
Some tragic scenes, when presented to people, vividly depict the oppression of the Palestinian people and leave a profound impact on the souls, reviving the conscience of those who still have the capacity for conscience revival and awakening some of those who are still capable to awake from their slumber. This is a very important matter.
It is also important regarding the supportive position towards the Palestinian people to support it and highlight its importance in the face of all attempts to disrupt it—the attempts carried out by the followers of the United States and Israel as they try to undermine any supportive position towards the Palestinian people.
Additionally, the activity of awareness-raising is among the extremely important activities. It is among the most significant activities ever, especially in light of the brutal, savage Israeli aggression, which has reached an outrageous level of criminality and a state of exposure in a stage where some Arab regimes were making every effort to present a false image of the Israeli enemy (that it is a member of this region in general, that it is a peace-seeking entity that desires peace, and that the Ummah can hold a positive relationship with it and live in peace with it) and before the image that some are deceived by: the false image of the United States and the West in the eyes of some, even among the elites in our Arab countries and in our Islamic world in general. Therefore, there is a significant importance to spread awareness because current events expose the Israeli enemy once again, revealing its reality (in addition to its immense criminal record in the past) as well as exposing the Americans and Western countries, in addition to their previous criminal record in all previous stages. Indeed, the Americans, Europeans, and Israelis (all) have a terrible, heinous criminal record throughout all the previous stages. However, for this rising generation and in this stage, there is a need (especially since the Arab memory is weak) for constant reminders, presentation of evidence, continuous clarification, and continuous explanation. Given the abundance of clear evidence of the American, Israeli, and Western crimes, there is a great opportunity to spread awareness and solidify awareness among people, with the Quranic awareness at the forefront.
One of the most significant things our Ummah need and one of the most crucial activities of our dear people is the spread of the Quranic awareness on the basis of the principle of ‘Keeping an eye on the Quran and the other on the events’. The Quranic awareness creates certainty and at the same time regulates orientations on the basis of principled, moral, ethical, and divine regulation.
There is a severe state of decay within our Islamic countries, primarily in the Arab region and then elsewhere. There is a disregard for principles and a neglect of values and ethics, and there are deviant orientations that do not rely on divine principles nor on values or ethics. These orientations completely contradict our affiliation to Islam and our identity of faith and Islam. There are deviant orientations, such as normalization with the Israeli enemy, which denies the values of Islam, its principles, and the instructions of Allah in the Holy Quran. At the same time, they represent a misguided direction in every sense of the word. According to the criterion of interest, it is a losing direction, leading to inevitable loss.
The Holy Quran presents an evaluative image of the enemies of this Ummah. Indeed, it is a true and realistic image proved by all events, by reality, and by the policies and practices of this Ummah's enemies. It presents fundamental principles that regulate orientations based on values and ethics. There are instructions from Allah (Glory be to Him), which we, as a Muslim Ummah, must remain connected to and in tune with and must not neglect them for the sake of our enemies.
It is important to focus on the Quranic awareness that creates certainty, regulates orientations, provides the correct vision, and enhances the sense of responsibility: religious, ethical, and human responsibility based on affiliation to faith and Islam. This is a very important matter, for most people tend to exempt themselves from taking any action or adopting any position and act in a moody and personal way, disconnected from their affiliation to Islam and their belief in Allah, in His book, in His Messenger, in the prophets and messengers, and in the Day of Judgment. It is also disconnected from their awareness of what this affiliation to faith truly means.
So focusing on Quranic awareness is important. One of the most important things that Quranic awareness provides is that it enhances hope in the victory granted by Allah and trust in Him, and it protects the Ummah from the endeavours of their enemies to infiltrate and mislead it within the framework of soft warfare that targets our Ummah, primarily the youth. They are targeted in terms of consciousness, thinking, culture, perspective, and vision. Therefore, the importance of continuing this act cannot be underestimated.
It is crucial to continue the movement in marches, demonstrations, and protests because, as I mentioned before, the enemies make countless calculations about it. And these acts represent the life of this people, its vibrant conscience, its sense of responsibility, its values, its freedom, its dignity, its awareness, and its determination.
The weekly massive turnout by our people is a must. As long as the aggression continues, this turnout must persist because it is one of the most valuable acts in its essence and one of the easiest actions to undertake: individuals coming out on Fridays in a wide popular march, with millions of their fellow countrymen, to express this position, support other practical steps (at its forefront the military position), and let the Palestinian people in Gaza feel that there are voices chanting for them and for their oppression, standing by their side, and supporting them. This is an easily achievable task, not a very difficult one. This is an accessible task to many people. Many people are going out to do simple work or very ordinary activities, going out just for leisure, for a regular outing, for feeling restless staying at home, or for anything like that. That is, everyone goes out on the streets. So if this going out is for the sake of Allah, in Allah's cause, and as a proclamation of the truth, a chant for the oppression of the Palestinian people, and an expression of a position that the enemies calculate in countless ways, and support for other measures within the framework of the comprehensive position of our country (including military actions), then this is something important. A person has no justification to make the matter difficult for himself, to accept any discouragement from those who try to discourage them, or even to be influenced by anyone who attempts to diminish the value of this position.
The turnout expresses determination, steadfastness, seriousness, and a strong sense of responsibility. On the other hand, apathy and boredom reflect weak resolve and willpower because someone who weakens even at the level of turnout to the streets for an hour, two, or three on only one day a week, how will they handle other tasks?
Despite the value and importance of this position, when it comes to the level of our responsibility, in addition to the necessary faith a person has to obtain, he must be present to devote his soul and wealth for the sake of Allah, {‘Allah has indeed purchased from the believers their lives and wealth in exchange for Jannah’}. These are honourable positions that please Allah (Glory be to Him), and their reward in the Hereafter is Jannah. Their worldly fruits are dignity, honour, and freedom. Therefore, people must be present.
Apathy and boredom reflect weakness in determination, awareness, and sense of responsibility. The remedy for those who feel bored, as we mentioned earlier, is awareness through keeping an eye on the Quran: O you who feel boredom and apathy, see what Allah says in the Holy Quran and observe and get to know the level and magnitude of your responsibility, what you should be, and what Islam nurtures you to be in terms of determination, willpower, serious commitment on a practical level, and readiness to sacrifice. Even at the educational level, the discipline of the Quran is highly refined: moulding individuals to be iron-like in their faith, steel-like in their determination, active in their work, and serious about their attitudes. Likewise, they are active where they must be active in order to earn the satisfaction of Allah (Glory be to Him).
‘Keeping an eye on the Quran and the other on the events’: witness the situation in Palestine! Listen and lend an ear to the cries and pleas of the children and women, as well as the wails of the bereaved women! Observe the tears of the innocent children! All of this should move your conscience; don’t those injustice and tragedies deserve your participation, your action, expression of your voice, and your utmost effort?
Therefore, it is crucial to continue taking an action and join the turnout: It is a weekly massive turnout that holds great significance within a comprehensive position. As long as the aggression persists, we must persist as well. As long as the aggression continues against the Palestinian people in Gaza, we must persist and strive to elevate our position and develop our efforts and activities, including our military position.
I address our dear people to participate in a Million-person turnout tomorrow (by the will of Allah) expressing the faith-based affiliation of our dear people: a turnout that brightens the image of this nation in the eye of the Prophet (PBUH&F) who said ‘The belief is that of the Yemenites, and the sagacity is that of the Yemenites’. The turnout should be a million-person one, taking place in Sana'a on Al-Sabaeen Square, as well as in the rest of the provinces—the turnout in the provinces also holds great and significant importance and carries significant implications—aligned with the approved arrangements in each.
I ask Allah (Glory be to Him) to grant us success in seeking what pleases Him. O Allah (Glory be to You), have mercy on our martyrs, heal the wounded among us, set free our captives, and grant us victory. O Allah, accelerate the Victory and Release of the Palestinian People.
In conclusion, we say,
‘Loyalty has never changed.
‘The pledge of the free remains.
‘May Allah watch over a soul that lives in freedom throughout its life.’
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
