Yemen's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stated that the aggression against Iran exposes the falsity of the current US administration’s claims of promoting global peace, reaffirming that the United States is merely a tool in the hands of global Zionism. It warned that such actions risk dragging the region, and the world, into a war whose consequences will affect all.

In a statement issued Sunday, the Ministry condemned the American aggression launched early this morning against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which targeted peaceful nuclear facilities. 

It considered this a blatant violation of Iran’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, contradicting the principles of the United Nations, which call for refraining from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, and a clear breach of international law, including the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

The statement noted that the US has been complicit in the Zionist aggression against Iran from the outset, only intervening directly after the Zionist entity failed to achieve its goals. 

It emphasized that America, the sponsor of the Israeli entity, was instrumental in planting this entity within the body of the Arab nation.

The Ministry reaffirmed the Islamic Republic’s right to peaceful use of nuclear energy in accordance with international law and praised Iran’s constructive approach to the nuclear file despite facing immense pressure.

The Foreign Ministry called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities, preserve international peace and security, and issue a resolution condemning the American aggression against Iran, restoring credibility to the United Nations, which has long been dominated by the United States.

It also called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to realign its focus toward the true enemy of the Islamic Ummah and to adopt a strong, supportive stance in favor of Iran in its defense of sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.

The Ministry reaffirmed Yemen’s full support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and its right to self-defense and response to the brutal Zionist-American aggression.
