The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Jamal Amer, met with the Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), Reyhaneh Zawar.
During the meeting, Minister Amer received a briefing on the activities of the UNOPS office and its efforts in liaising with donor agencies.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to facilitating the work of UNOPS, emphasising that the Government of Change and Reconstruction grants numerous privileges to maritime shipping companies arriving through the Port of Hodeidah. These measures aim to ease the operations of international governmental and non-governmental organisations working in the humanitarian and relief sectors.
For her part, Ms Zawar expressed her appreciation for the significant role played by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in supporting the successful operations of the UNOPS office.
