Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem warned on Saturday that the Lebanese resistance group won’t tolerate continuous Israeli attack on Lebanon forever, stressing that “everything has its limits.”

In a televised address on the third eve of Ashura commemoration in Beirut’s southern suburb, Dahiyeh, Sheikh Qassem clarified that Hezbollah’s pro-Gaza operations, that took place in late 2023 following the Israeli brutal war on Gaza and the heroic Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, was “out of moral obligation and in support of justice.”

Talking about the Israeli war on Lebanon in late 2024, his eminence said the Israeli enemy assassinated the Hezbollah secretary generals Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safeiddine, after the major pager attacks.

“God granted us victory through steadfastness. We managed to rise again, and stood firm until the ceasefire, striking the enemy and dealing it painful blows,” Sheikh Qassem said, referring to the 66-day Israeli war that was ended by a ceasefire deal which took effect on November 27, 2024.

“The sacrifices of the martyrs gave us momentum and strength, and the sacrifices of the wounded made us more responsible,” the Hezbollah S.G. stated, addressing crowds at Sayyed Shuhada Complex.

The ceasefire agreement represents a new phase called the (Lebanese) State’s responsibility, Sheikh Qassem said, affirming that repelling the Israeli aggression and confronting the Zionist violations of the ceasefire is the responsibility of the Lebanese State.

“The aggression on Nabatieh yesterday, and the attack on people who work in currency exchange (the day before) are unacceptable. The state must shoulder its responsibility.”

On calls to disarm Hezbollah, Sheikh Qassem said: “How can any rational person imagine that we would surrender our sources of strength while the Israeli enemy violates the ceasefire deal and continues its attacks on Lebanon?”

His eminence then warned that Hezbollah won’t keep mum on the continuous Israeli violations.

“How can anyone imagine that we would remain silent forever? That’s totally untrue. We are people whose slogan is: ‘Humiliation…Never!’, and you have already tested us.”

“We always have only one option: Dignity, and we will win. Meet us, and we’ll show you what victory looks like. If victory isn’t secured in the first day, then on the second or third. We are always victorious, either in conquest or in martyrdom,” Sheikh Qassem said.

He also warned against the Israeli expansionist ambitions.

“Whenever there is a weak side, this means that ‘Israel’ will expand.”
