Family members of Israeli hostages in Gaza have affirmed that the only way to secure the return of all Israeli captives lies in reaching a comprehensive agreement and an immediate cessation of the war.
In a statement, they pointed out that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has yet to make the right decision that would ensure the return of their loved ones.
They called on Netanyahu to put the safety of their relatives and the greater good of the nation ahead of his own political survival, emphasizing that humanitarian and moral considerations must take precedence over personal or political interests.
They stressed that the continuation of the war would only endanger the lives of the captives and delay their return to their families.
These statements come amid growing international efforts to push for a new prisoner exchange deal between Hamas and “Israel”, amid warnings about the consequences of ongoing fighting on the fate of the captives, given the dire humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.
