The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian army neutralized and inflicted casualties on approximately 200 soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a missile strike using Iskander missiles.
The Ministry of Defense released a video showing the Russian army launching a missile attack on a training camp of the Ukrainian Armed Forces located in the Honcharivske area of the Chernihiv region.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the location of the equipment and personnel of Ukrainian nationalists was identified through a Russian reconnaissance drone. Subsequently, the site was targeted with high-explosive missiles.
The Ministry stated that the casualties among the Ukrainian forces as a result of this strike amounted to around 200 soldiers, both dead and wounded.
In response to attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on civilian targets, Russian forces regularly conduct targeted strikes against military positions, personnel, equipment, and mercenaries fighting alongside them, as well as infrastructure including energy facilities, defense industries, military command centers, and communications in Ukraine.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has repeatedly emphasized that the Russian army does not attack residential buildings or social institutions in Ukraine.
The special Russian military operation, which began on February 24, 2022, aims to protect the residents of Donbas, who, according to Russia, have been subjected to persecution and genocide by the Kyiv regime for years.
