The Government Media Office in Gaza strongly condemned the continued role of the so-called “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” in systematically contributing to death and carrying out field executions of starving Palestinian civilians at what have become known as “aid distribution centers” — now effectively turned into “mass death traps.”
The office stated that live fire directed at starving crowds gathered at these sites — by Israeli enemy forces and the American security company managing the locations — has led to the martyrdom of more than 580 civilians, the injury of over 4,200 others, and 39 people reported missing to date. These facts expose the false humanitarian claims associated with the foundation.
Reports from dozens of international, UN, and human rights organizations have documented that the so-called “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” violates the core principles of humanitarian work — neutrality, independence, and humanity — and acts as a political and security tool to further the Israeli enemy’s agenda, all with its knowledge and approval as part of a deliberate and systematic plan.
The concentration of aid distribution in southern Gaza forces civilians — under the pressure of starvation — to flee northward, amounting to de facto forced displacement and adding to the occupation’s record of ethnic cleansing.
The statement also highlighted serious concerns over the foundation’s lack of transparency and legal suspicions raised by Swiss authorities, including reports of narcotics being found inside aid parcels — a blatant attack on public health in Gaza.
The Media Office held the Israeli enemy and those responsible for the so-called “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” fully accountable for this ongoing crime.
It called for an urgent international criminal investigation into this humanitarian catastrophe, which has unfolded over the past month and witnessed grave violations in plain view of the world.
The statement concluded by demanding an immediate halt to cooperation with this foundation and its replacement with neutral humanitarian organizations, such as UNRWA and other international bodies, to ensure the protection of Palestinian civilians and to stop the continued bloodshed.
Since March 2, Israeli authorities have continued to tighten the complete blockade on the Gaza Strip, preventing the entry of any humanitarian, food, medical, or fuel aid, as well as all other supplies necessary to sustain life for the people of Gaza.
Since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023, Gaza’s civilian infrastructure has been devastated, with hospitals, schools, and refugee camps repeatedly targeted.
The humanitarian situation has further deteriorated following the launch of US-backed aid distribution points on May 27, which have drawn widespread condemnation for turning essential aid into a tool of control.
These centers have become scenes of deadly violence, where desperate civilians have been met with live fire while seeking food.
International organizations, including the United Nations, have warned of famine, mass displacement, and a collapse of health services, as Israeli enemy’s siege and bombardment continue unabated.
