Entisaf Organization for Women and Children's Rights issued a report titled "Yemen Between US Strikes and the Cries of the Innocent," highlighting the crimes committed by American forces against Yemen between March 15 and January 2025.

The report documented over 1,700 airstrikes carried out by US forces targeting civilian areas, facilities, and infrastructure, in which prohibited and advanced weaponry was used. These strikes led to the death and injury of more than 2,000 civilians, including women and children.

The report affirmed that such crimes will not deter the Yemeni people from their religious, humanitarian, and moral duty to support the Palestinian people, who are facing a war of genocide and starvation at the hands of the Zionist killing machine. It condemned the silence and inaction of the United Nations and its affiliated organizations, as well as the complicity of several regimes—including Arab countries that have normalized ties with the Zionist entity.

It considered the ongoing daily assaults on Palestinians in Gaza and on the Yemeni people to be blatant violations of international and humanitarian law and acts of genocide. The report held the Zionist entity and its supporting countries legally accountable for the extermination and starvation of civilians in Gaza. It also held the silent states legally and morally complicit in these crimes.

The report called for an immediate halt to the aggression against Yemen—its land and people—and the urgent opening of humanitarian corridors and crossings to provide aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza and end the ongoing starvation campaign they face around the clock.

It urged international organizations, especially the United Nations and the International Criminal Court, to assume their responsibilities in documenting the crimes of the Israeli and American occupations, launching an international investigation, prosecuting those responsible, compensating the victims, rebuilding destroyed infrastructure, and ensuring the unobstructed delivery of humanitarian aid.

During the event, Ali Taysir, Head of the Human Rights Sector at the Ministry of Justice, praised Entisaf’s efforts in preparing a report that reveals the truth to public opinion and exposes the entrenched crimes of the US, Britain, and Israel.

He stressed that the Yemeni people and leadership will not abandon their faith-driven, humanitarian, and moral obligation to support the Palestinian people—despite the circumstances Yemen faces due to war and siege.

Legal advisor at the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, Hamid Al-Rafeeq, discussed the legal framework surrounding the US aggression on Yemen and Yemen’s position on Gaza.

He described the US attacks on Yemen since January 2024 as a full-fledged war crime and a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter and international conventions such as those of Geneva and The Hague.

Al-Rafeeq emphasized that Yemen’s religious, humanitarian, and moral stance in supporting the people of Gaza and preventing the Zionist entity from committing genocide and forced displacement is a legitimate act recognized by the International Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

For her part, Somaya Al-Taifi, Head of the Entisaf Organization, said the report aims to expose the crimes of the arrogant and tyrannical powers—namely the United States and Israel—in destroying civilian infrastructure and killing Yemeni civilians for rejecting genocide and starvation crimes against the Palestinian people.

US airstrikes in Yemen began on March 15 and continued until May 6, when President Donald Trump announced an end to the strikes. The US aggression has carried out multiple strikes on Ras Issa Port in Hodeidah, killing and injuring around 250 people, including workers, medics, and civilians.

Washington claims its strikes are aimed at deterring Yemen from targeting vessels linked to Israel. However, Yemeni forces have reiterated their commitment to ongoing military operations in the Red Sea and beyond until the Israeli war on Gaza is brought to an end.

In response to the genocide in Gaza and foreign intervention, Yemen has enforced a strategic blockade on critical maritime routes. This move seeks to disrupt arms shipments and apply international pressure to address the escalating humanitarian crisis.
