Decision No. (2) of 1447 AH was issued yesterday, Monday, by the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen, prohibiting the mutilation of the second edition of the two-hundred-riyal banknotes.

The decision stipulates a ban on mutilating the second edition of the two-hundred-riyal banknotes, whether by writing, drawing, engraving, stamping, perforating, or reducing their size. Mutilated banknotes are considered void and non-tradable.

The decision also prohibits all financial and non-financial institutions from circulating mutilated currency.

According to the Governor's decision, all banks will be subject to sanctions.
