A child died in the Gaza Strip on Thursday evening due to hunger, malnutrition, and lack of healthcare, amid the ongoing Israeli blockade.

Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City reported the death of child Nour Riyad Ikhziq, who died of hunger and malnutrition.

With Nour's death, the number of children who have died from malnutrition has risen to more than 76, while the number of deaths due to food and medicine shortages has reached 620, according to official government data.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza warned of the worsening humanitarian disaster in the Strip, confirming that famine has reached catastrophic levels, threatening the lives of more than two million people, in light of the ongoing Israeli blockade and the prevention of food and medicine entry for more than 140 days.
