Adnan Abu Hasna, the media advisor for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), said that the situation in the Gaza Strip has spiraled out of control.
Abu Hasna added in press statements on Thursday, "There is a complete collapse of the humanitarian system in Gaza."
Earlier, UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said that the famine has intensified in the Gaza Strip and that no one is immune, indicating that doctors, nurses, journalists, and humanitarian workers are suffering from hunger.
Lazzarini added, "Even caregivers need someone to care for them," continuing, "Many are now fainting from hunger and exhaustion while performing their duties, such as reporting atrocities or alleviating some of the suffering."
"Israel" continues to impose a complete closure on the Gaza Strip, preventing the entry of aid, relief supplies, medical supplies, and fuel since March 2, amid worsening famine among the population.
With American support, the "Israeli" enemy army has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 198,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
