The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) welcomed the Catalan Parliament's vote on a package of punitive resolutions against the Israeli enemy, most notably recognizing Zionism as a form of racism, banning the docking of Zionist ships involved in arms transfers, and severing institutional ties with the entity.

The Front said in a press statement on Thursday that this step represents qualitative support for our people's cause and exposes the genocidal crimes committed by the enemy against our people.

It noted that the Catalan Parliament's decision to officially recognize Zionism as a form of racism is a historic decision that exposes the lies propagated by the enemy to justify its crimes.

It also accurately describes the nature of this criminal Israeli entity, which is based on genocide, massacres, ethnic cleansing, discrimination, and persecution.

The Front called on all parliaments around the world to emulate these bold steps, addressing an urgent appeal to all free people worldwide—organizations, groups, parties, and activists—to take urgent and effective action to confront the crimes of genocide and starvation waged by the occupation against our people.

It also called for the need to isolate and besiege the occupation at all political, diplomatic, economic, and cultural levels, and to prevent it from being supplied with any weapons used to kill our people. This must be achieved by holding the occupation accountable and prosecuting its leaders as war criminals before international forums.
