The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, announced on Wednesday that its fighters had detonated three barrel bombs targeting a gathering of Israeli military vehicles in southern Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

In a statement published on its Telegram channel, Al-Qassam said its fighters successfully detonated the explosives on Monday evening inside a hub of Israeli military machinery in the area known as "Al-Batn Al-Samin," south of Khan Younis.

The Brigades reported that the operation resulted in a number of Israeli soldiers being killed or wounded.

Al-Qassam, alongside the Al-Quds Brigades and other Palestinian resistance factions, continues to engage Israeli ground forces across various parts of Gaza, as part of the ongoing “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation—launched in response to Israel’s relentless assaults and massacres that began on October 7, 2023.
