Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Sunday the Brigades' readiness to cooperate with Red Cross requests to deliver food and medicine to Zionist captives, but only under clear conditions that reflect the dire humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression.

He stressed that the first condition is the opening of permanent humanitarian corridors that allow unrestricted access to food and medical supplies across all areas of the besieged Strip, where civilians are enduring catastrophic living conditions imposed by the occupation.

The second condition is a complete halt to all Israeli aerial operations during the delivery of aid to prisoners, in order to ensure the safety of personnel and supplies.

Abu Obeida emphasized that Al-Qassam does not deliberately starve captives, explaining that they receive the same food and medicine available to the fighters and the besieged people, with no special treatment amid the war crimes of starvation being inflicted on Gaza’s population.

He added that any supplies delivered to the Zionist prisoners must be accompanied by equivalent humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza, who are left to suffer in the rubble of war.
