The Tunisian opposition group "Al-Khalas Front" organized a popular march in solidarity with Gaza, responding to the resistance’s call for a global movement condemning the Israeli aggression and the siege imposed on the Strip.
Hundreds gathered in a march that started from Republic Square and proceeded along the main street leading to the municipal theater, raising slogans such as “The people want the liberation of Palestine,” “Resistance, resistance—no reconciliation, no compromise,” “Gaza, Gaza—the symbol of pride,” “Shame, shame, Gaza is under siege,” and “Oh rulers of shame, Gaza is dying from the siege.”
The demonstrators called for the opening of the Rafah land crossing and the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip.
Ahmed Najib Al-Shabi, head of the front, said: "The Zionist enemy has failed to achieve its goals despite all the killing of children and the starving of the people. The entire Western world and some countries are mobilizing to fulfill the objectives of the occupation government’s Prime Minister, Netanyahu."
He added, "His goal is to disarm the Palestinian people and to leave Gaza under the control of security forces currently being trained by Egypt and the Authority, which has condemned the resistance. The aim is to bury the Palestinian cause."
Meanwhile, Imad Al-Khamiri, spokesperson for the Ennahda Movement, said: "We took to the streets in support of our brothers in Palestine and their struggle against killing, starvation, and extermination. The least we can do is raise our voices in solidarity with Gaza and condemn the horrific criminalization and killing it is enduring."
