The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Wednesday that 98 citizens were killed and 385 others were injured during the past 24 hours. The ministry added that the death toll from Israeli genocide since October 7, 2023, has risen to 65,062 martyrs and 165,697 injuries. Since March 18, 2025, the ministry has recorded 12,511 martyrs and 53,656 injuries, a clear indication of the continuing scale of human losses in Gaza.
Regarding those killed for their livelihood and humanitarian aid, the ministry reported that 7 martyrs and 87 injured were admitted to hospitals in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims of the Israeli aggression since the beginning of the aggression to 2,504 martyrs and more than 18,381 injuries.
Meanwhile, hospitals in the Gaza Strip recorded four deaths due to famine and malnutrition over the past 24 hours, including a child. This brings the number of victims of Israeli starvation to 432, including 146 children. Since the UN declared famine in Gaza, 154 deaths have been recorded, including 31 children.
UN Investigation: Genocide is a Declared Crime
A UN commission of inquiry, headed by international judge Navi Pillay, confirmed that what is happening in Gaza is not a passing war, but rather a deliberate genocide. The statements of Israeli leaders and their systematic actions of killing, starvation, and displacement: the goal is for sure to uproot Palestinians from their land and erase Gaza from existence. It has documented more than 60,000 pieces of evidence of crimes, a scene that encapsulates the scale of the tragedy that has been unfolding since October 7, 2023.
The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry recently concluded that what is happening in Gaza constitutes genocide, confirming that the occupation's leaders, including the president, prime minister, and former defense minister, publicly incited killing and displacement. The commission documented more than 60,000 pieces of evidence of crimes, from systematic killing and the systematic destruction of infrastructure to depriving civilians of basic aid.
Reuters quoted the UN commission of inquiry on Tuesday as saying that the statements of the enemy authorities are direct evidence of genocidal intent.
The commission stated that Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant incited genocide, and that the enemy authorities took no action against them to punish them for this incitement.
The UN Commission of Inquiry cited examples including the scale of the killings, the obstruction of aid, forced displacement, and the destruction of a fertility center to support its findings of genocide, adding to the image of human rights and other organizations that have reached the same conclusion.
The UN Commission of Inquiry stated that "Israel is seeking to displace Palestinians from their lands, and pressure must be applied to stop the war in Gaza, allow the entry of aid, and prosecute those responsible for genocide.
Based on the report, UN Secretary-General António Guterres said he would report the seriousness of the situation in Gaza and the West Bank to the International Criminal Court. He stressed that "what is happening in Gaza is horrific, and we are now witnessing the systematic destruction of the city," emphasizing that the war in the Palestinian territories is morally, politically, and legally unacceptable. He said in a press conference that "Israel" is determined to "go all the way" to its military campaign in Gaza and is not open to serious peace talks.
For his part, Jan Egeland, Secretary-General of the Norwegian Refugee Council, stated that the UN Commission of Inquiry concluded that genocide had been committed in Gaza. He explained that these findings are not merely conclusions, but rather reflect what his colleagues are experiencing and witnessing daily in Gaza City. He added that international law is clear: civilians must be protected and aid must reach them, and states have a duty to prevent genocide.
These findings, as the commission states, are not a passing description, but a clear condemnation at the highest levels, placing the world in front of a legal and moral responsibility that can no longer be evaded. However, what appears on the ground is that the Zionist entity has succeeded in subjugating governments, peoples, and international bodies alike.
Ignored Appeals
In parallel, the leaders of more than 20 major international relief agencies issued an urgent appeal to world leaders, stressing that the Strip is on the brink of "the most deadly phase in its history." The agencies said that death no longer comes only from Israeli missiles, but also from the militarization of aid, as the hungry and thirsty are targeted while trying to reach a piece of bread or a sip of water. Despite this, the world remains powerless or complicit, while Gaza bleeds silently.
The leaders said that what they are witnessing in Gaza is not only an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, but also what the UN Commission of Inquiry has now concluded is genocide. They added that the inhumane situation in Gaza is unbearable, and that they have witnessed firsthand the horrific deaths and suffering of the people of Gaza. They emphasized that the Palestinian Strip is on the brink of the most deadly phase in Gaza's history if no action is taken.
They pointed out that the militarization of the aid system has proven deadly, as thousands have been shot while trying to reach aid.
Aid, stressing that governments must act to prevent the depletion of life and end the violence and occupation.
The United Nations itself has warned that the militarization of aid, coupled with the 18-year blockade, has turned Gaza into a vast collective punishment camp, lacking even the most basic necessities of life.
Forced Displacement and Massacres in "Safe Areas"
More than a million people in Gaza refuse to leave their homes despite the bombardment, clinging to the ground like a child clinging to its mother's lap. Yet the enemy is forcibly pushing them south, to areas like Al-Mawasi, which was promoted as a humanitarian haven, but which is in fact a mass grave; it has been subjected to thousands of airstrikes, resulting in thousands of martyrs. What remains of Gaza is crammed into 12% of its area, in modern concentration camps that lack even the most basic necessities of life.
The Government Media Office in Gaza confirmed on Tuesday that more than one million Palestinians remain there in Gaza City and its northern areas, clinging to their land and homes and categorically refusing to flee south, despite the "brutal bombing and genocidal war" being perpetrated by the Israeli enemy.
The population of Gaza City and its northern areas exceeds 1.3 million, including approximately 398,000 residents of the North Gaza Governorate, most of whom were forcibly displaced to the western part of the governorate. Additionally, more than 914,000 residents of the Gaza Governorate, including approximately 350,000 who were forced to flee the eastern neighborhoods of the city toward the center and west, according to the office. The office added that the Al-Mawasi area in Khan Yunis and Rafah, which currently houses approximately 800,000 residents and is falsely promoted by the enemy authorities as a "humanitarian and safe" area, has been subjected to more than 109 airstrikes and repeated shelling, resulting in more than 2,000 deaths in successive massacres. The area is completely devoid of the basic necessities of life, including hospitals, water, food, shelter, electricity, and education, making life there impossible.
The area designated by the enemy as "shelter" areas does not exceed 12% of the Gaza Strip's area, and it is attempting to cram more than 1.7 million people into it, as part of a plan to establish "concentration camps" as part of a systematic forced displacement policy aimed at emptying northern Gaza and Gaza City of their residents.
Under these circumstances, the Zionist enemy announces the start of its incursion and ground operations in Gaza City in preparation for its occupation. It notes that three military divisions (98, 162, and 36) have begun a large-scale ground operation, amidst ongoing, intensive raids and attacks that have escalated since Monday night. Meanwhile, the criminal "Prime Minister" of the Zionist entity, Benjamin Netanyahu, confirmed that:
According to a statement by the Zionist enemy, the "Southern Command" forces of the "regular" enemy army and "reserve" forces from the 98, 162, and 36 military divisions "launched a large-scale ground military operation in the areas of Gaza City over the past day as part of Operation 'Gideon Arms 2'."
According to the enemy's statement, the forces of the "Gaza Division," the "143rd Division," "operate in a protective zone opposite the towns of the western Negev and carry out offensive military operations toward the Rafah and Khan Yunis areas, while the forces of the "99th Military Division" operate in the northern Gaza Strip."
Isolation in Deadly Silence
In a scene that epitomizes cruelty, the internet and landline communications in Gaza have been cut off due to the Zionist aggression. Human rights organizations have described this move as "genocide in silence," aimed at isolating the population from the world and preventing documentation of crimes or requests for aid.
This outage, coupled with the fuel shortage, threatens to shut down hospitals and ambulances, making death an inevitable consequence not only of direct bombardment but also of the wounded and sick being denied their right to survive.
Today, the voices of the people of Gaza no longer reach the world, as if the Zionist enemy sought to annihilate them in absolute silence, without witnesses. Lifelines and documentation have been cut off, hospitals are isolated from patients, and children trapped under the rubble are isolated from their final cries. Even seeking help has become impossible, and the disruption has become an additional killing tool, parallel to direct bombing.
Food and Medicine Blockade
For months, the Israeli enemy authorities have been preventing the entry of food and medicine, blocking aid behind the crossings. Gaza's hospitals are on the verge of complete collapse, as fuel needed to operate generators has been blocked, and oxygen stations and ambulances have stopped operating. Even Al-Rantisi Hospital for Children was not spared, and it was directly bombed, leaving dozens of patients and children without treatment or safe shelter. The enemy targeted the hospital late Tuesday evening. Following this attack, 40 patients left the hospital in search of safe places and the safety of their children. Forty patients and their companions remain, along with 12 patients in intensive care, and 30 hospital staff.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported on Wednesday that the Israeli enemy is deliberately thwarting the World Health Organization's attempts to bring fuel into Gaza hospitals. The ministry added in a press release that the Israeli authorities are preventing the supply of fuel needed to operate generators in Gaza hospitals, meaning a complete halt to health services.
It pointed out that the crisis threatens to shut down Al-Sahaba Medical Complex, the General Service Hospital, the Central Oxygen Plant, ambulances, and other hospitals within days. It emphasized that the shutdown of the Central Oxygen Plant and ambulances in the Gaza Strip means we are facing a serious health and humanitarian disaster, adding that the enemy is insisting on preventing the World Health Organization from using alternative ways to deliver fuel to hospitals in Gaza and the north.
A Psychologically Shattered Generation
The most tragic aspect remains the children: According to UNICEF estimates, half a million children in Gaza suffer from severe psychological trauma. These children, who grew up amidst the rubble and lost their families, are now being asked to choose between remaining under bombardment or fleeing to displacement camps that lack the most basic necessities of life.
UNICEF spokesperson Tess Ingram emphasized in a video call from Al-Mawasi camp that "it is inhumane to expect half a million children, who have been exposed to violence and psychological trauma over more than 700 days of ongoing conflict, to flee one hell only to end up in another."
“Lee,” Ingram added People have a choice: either to remain in constant danger, or to flee to a place they know is also dangerous.”
Ingram also met a mother named Israa, who was walking with five hungry and thirsty children, including two barefoot. She said they were “walking into the unknown, without a clear destination or plan, with little hope of finding a safe haven.”
These children, who have witnessed death and destruction, no longer know what safety means. They walk barefoot and hungry into the unknown, with no destination or hope. How can a child under seven be asked to survive the memory of the rubble that buried his family? And how can a nation, half of which is made up of children, be expected to rise from the rubble?
Testimonies from the Hell
Doctors and foreign volunteers recounted the unspeakable: children with amputated limbs, families bombed in “humanitarian areas,” and bodies stacked in the morgue as if they were Products in a factory of death. A doctor who lost nine of her children and her husband returned three days later to continue treating patients. How can one describe such steadfastness in the midst of this hell?
The Spanish newspaper El Pais published an article by Spanish doctor Raúl Inciertes Jarrio, who volunteered in the emergency and anesthesia departments of two hospitals in Gaza between April and July of this year. He shared his testimony about the tragedy of children and civilian victims he witnessed.
He confirmed that just three weeks after his arrival, he had lost count of the amputated, disfigured, torn, and burned children the medical team had to treat, not to mention those who died.
He added, "There's a black cloud in my head, made up of horrific images that prevent me from forgetting. Many were dying in front of our eyes despite our desperate attempts to save them, including those who breathed their last while providing care."
He continued, "I lost count of the truck carts or donkey carts filled with… The bodies were on their way to the morgue, which hospitals were constantly receiving. They were brought in and out as if it were a factory, with workers entering and exiting, but they were dead. Most of their faces remained taut with terror, reflecting their last sensation before they were killed.”
The Spanish doctor recounts the bombing of a six-year-old girl, whose image is still etched in his memory. He says, “I grabbed her severed and burned arm to move it aside because it was hindering us while we tried to give her a chance to survive. She was wearing an undershirt printed with little lambs, which we had to cut off for examination, but she later died, and I didn’t remember her name.”
The Silence of the World
All these atrocities are taking place in front of the eyes of the world, but silence is the predominant response. Millions of lives are trapped between rubble and the sea, while the doors to aid are closed, and humanitarian appeals are met with cold statements that fail to stop the bloodshed or the cries of mothers. Gaza is a moral test for the entire world, a test humanity has failed so far. But what the international community must realize is that the effects of the crime in Gaza will not stop at any borders. The sector, we are facing an enemy that is out of control and without values and poses a danger to all of humanity, and remaining silent about it will backfire on everyone with criminality and brutality.
