The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the latest UN Security Council resolution on Gaza, describing it as a legitimization of foreign guardianship over the Palestinian people—an explicit violation of Palestine’s sovereignty and a blatant interference in its internal affairs.
In a statement, the Ministry affirmed that the resolution clearly disregarded the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them the right to end the occupation, exercise self-determination, and establish an independent Palestinian state on all of its national territory.
The Ministry noted that the United States is attempting—through this resolution—to achieve the objectives the Zionist entity failed to accomplish through two years of genocidal warfare against the Palestinian people.
It added that any plans that bypass or undermine Palestinian rights are destined to fail, stressing that the resolution once again reflects the Security Council’s ongoing inability to stop the aggression and blockade imposed on Gaza.
Despite the horrifying genocide committed by the occupying Zionist entity—crimes that shame humanity—the Council has remained incapable of issuing binding resolutions compelling Israel to halt its assault, lift the siege, and comply with international humanitarian law.
The Ministry further stressed that Arab and Islamic states should have pressed to ensure the resolution upheld Palestinian rights, rather than adopting positions that weaken the Palestinian stance and open the door to measures that erode its sovereignty.
It reaffirmed that the Palestinian cause will remain the central cause of the Arab and Islamic nations, and that peace and stability in the region cannot be achieved without ending the injustice inflicted on the Palestinian people and enabling them to obtain all their legitimate rights.
The statement also reiterated Yemen’s firm and principled position in support of the Palestinian people’s right to end the occupation, aggression, and blockade, and to establish their independent state on the entirety of Palestinian land with Jerusalem as its capital.
