Al-Mahra Governor al-Qutbi al-Farji affirmed that the Saudi-Emirati movements taking place in the governorates of Al-Mahra and Hadramawt are part of a dangerous scheme pursued by the American-Israeli enemy to pave the way for dividing and fragmenting the country and plundering its resources.
He explained, in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that what is being carried out by the so-called “Transitional Council” and the militias affiliated with the Saudi-Emirati coalition of aggression in Al-Mahra and Hadramawt are attempts to seize control of the two governorates, tighten the noose on their residents, and impose foreign agendas.
Al-Farji pointed out that Saudi complicity with the actions of the UAE’s proxies in the occupied governorates reveals a joint agreement to push forward external agendas aimed at tearing Yemen apart and turning its regions into arenas of conflict within a clear and explicit partition project targeting the occupied areas, particularly Hadramawt and Al-Mahra.
He noted that the ongoing conflicts in the occupied governorates, fostered by Saudi Arabia and the UAE with British and American support, represent a form of occupation… affirming that all criminal and reckless practices by the Saudi-Emirati occupiers and their agents and mercenaries are fueling public anger and discontent over the dire conditions in the occupied regions.
The governor stressed that such practices will only strengthen the resolve of the people of Al-Mahra, and the occupied governorates in general, making them more determined to confront the occupation in all its forms — recalling the struggles of their forefathers and their long history of resisting and expelling occupiers from the land.
Al-Farji stated that the people of Al-Mahra are now more aware and conscious of the goals and ambitions of the American-Israeli occupation and its tools, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and their intentions to loot the country’s wealth and control international maritime routes and the sea and land crossings in the occupied governorates.
He called on the free people of the occupied areas — foremost among them the people of Al-Mahra, the tribes, and civil society organizations — to unify their efforts to confront the occupation forces and thwart their schemes, urging them to unite and align to stop the abusive practices of the occupiers and their agents.
The governor of Al-Mahra emphasized that national alignment is the only and optimal path to confront the threat facing the country, and that a unified popular stance is the strongest barrier against the enemy’s schemes that aim to fragment the social fabric and undermine the nation’s stability.
