His Excellency, Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, sent cables of congratulations to the leaders of Arab and Islamic countries on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH.
In the cables, President Al-Mashat expressed his wishes for continued health and success for the leaders of Arab and Islamic states, as well as further progress and advancement for their countries and peoples.
He stated: “Religious occasions continue to pass upon our Arab and Islamic Ummah amid a painful colonial reality in its new form—appearing under glossy slogans and infiltrating through security, political, and economic support, and under the banner of combating terrorism—yet without changing its essence or its old ambitions to control the resources of our Arab and Islamic Ummah and impose direct and indirect hegemony. This has affected many countries, including those that were allies yesterday. This project is led by America, Israel, and their allies, and it has become clear that these ambitions stop at no one and will encompass all Arab and Islamic states.”
President Al-Mashat called on the leaders of Arab and Islamic countries to unify their word and stance to confront this colonialism through a comprehensive economic, political, and military boycott of the “forces of evil”—America, Israel, and their allies—in order to restore the freedom of their countries and achieve prosperity for the peoples of the Arab and Islamic Ummah.
He concluded by asking Almighty Allah to return this great religious occasion upon the Arab and Islamic Ummah after it has achieved all that it aspires to in terms of dignity and honor.
