The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates confirmed that the recent statement issued in the name of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) describes ongoing events in the region incorrectly and aligns with the American and Israeli narrative.

In a statement to the Yemen News Agency (Saba), the Deputy Minister explained that the GCC statement did not mention that it was the Americans who came from the farthest reaches of the Earth to carry out a blatant aggression and commit crimes against a Muslim people in the region.

He also pointed out that the statement failed to note that the American and Israeli bases and interests are being targeted by the Muslim Iranian army as a legitimate response to those aggressions.

Abu Ras warned that the large-scale targeting of American bases and interests in the region proves that some regional regimes have turned their countries into American “Zionist” bases and are currently engaged in defending these bases and interests—a deeply shameful and alarming situation for the future of those countries.

He clarified that this round of aggressions by the criminal “Zionist-American-Israeli” regimes is not the first series of attacks against Islamic peoples and countries in the region, citing past crimes committed in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, Yemen, Iraq, and others.

The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that these regimes must reconsider their current positions in favor of their peoples and the causes of the Ummah, to ensure strategic security; otherwise, they will find themselves fighting the enemies of the nation and share their fate in the end.

Abu Ras concluded by reaffirming Yemen’s full solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and its brotherly people in facing the American-Israeli aggression, which targets Iran’s sovereignty, security, and stability.
