The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the Spanish government’s decision to withdraw its ambassador to the Zionist enemy entity in protest against the US–Israeli aggression on Iran.
In a statement, the ministry praised Spain’s solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and its supportive positions toward the Palestinian people and their just cause.
It affirmed that such positions reflect Spain’s commitment to the principles of international law and its rejection of escalation and war, noting that they also contribute to enhancing security, stability, and the establishment of a just peace in the region.
The ministry also commended the historic relations between Spain and the Arab and Islamic countries, stressing the importance of strengthening and developing them across various fields.
