The Iranian Red Crescent on Tuesday called on the World Health Organization to take an immediate stance regarding the U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran.
The head of the society, Pirhossein Kolivand, condemned the recent attacks on the country’s medical and relief infrastructure in a letter to the Director-General of the international organization.
Kolivand noted that the aggression resulted in damage to 292 medical and relief centers, including hospitals, leading to the deaths of 22 medical personnel and injuries to 113 others.
The head of the Iranian Red Crescent also highlighted the losses caused by the aggression, stating that “there are 100,000 volunteers forming trained rapid response teams, capable of being on-site at any incident in less than four minutes.”
Yesterday, six people were killed and 43 others injured in an attack targeting a residential area in Khorramabad. Additionally, the United States and Israel carried out attacks on energy facilities in Isfahan and Khorramshahr, causing material damage to the installations and surrounding homes, according to the Fars News Agency.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic of Iran continues to respond to the ongoing aggression on its territory through escalating operations, notably the waves launched as part of “Operation Promised Truth 4.”
