US President Donald Trump has said that the US Army's equipment and personnel will remain in West Asia despite their removal being a clause agreed upon in the Iran-US ceasefire.
"All U.S. Ships, Aircraft, and Military Personnel, with additional Ammunition, Weaponry, and anything else that is appropriate and necessary for the lethal prosecution and destruction of an already substantially degraded Enemy, will remain in place in, and around, Iran," Trump said via a Truth Social post overnight Wednesday, adding that the situation will remain as is until a "REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully complied with."
He further threatened that if Iran does not comply with American demands, US aggressions will resume "bigger, and better, and stronger than anyone has ever seen before."
"It was agreed, a long time ago, and despite all of the fake rhetoric to the contrary - NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS and, the Strait of Hormuz WILL BE OPEN & SAFE," Trump claimed.
Trump's statements are further escalating the situation, namely since the US had agreed to Iran's 10-point proposal, which stipulate that the US military withdraw from the region.
Trump also threatened that the US presence is towards inflicting future US military pressure on nations Washington deems opposed to US interests, laying the groundwork for future wars, as he remains in office for the better part of three years.
He wrote, "our great Military is Loading Up and Resting, looking forward, actually, to its next Conquest. AMERICA IS BACK!"
Trump bashes media over ceasefire demands
The US president also blasted US media over their coverage of the temporary ceasefire in Iran, stating that their reporting on Iran's demands was a "hoax".
"The Failing New York Times and Fake News CNN each reported a totally FAKE TEN POINT PLAN on the Iran negotiations which was meant to discredit the people involved in the peace process," Trump said in a Truth Social post. "All ten points were a made up HOAX - EVIL LOSERS!!! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN."
This came despite his earlier acknowledgment that Washington had received and considered Iran’s proposal as a viable basis for negotiations.
Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Tuesday, "We received a 10-point proposal from Iran, and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate. Almost all of the various points of past contention have been agreed to between the United States and Iran."
'Israel' violates ceasefire
Shortly after the ceasefire, "Israel" began invading the airspace of Iran and launching aggression on Lebanon in a series of unprecedented violations.
Pakistan's Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, in announcing the ceasefire, wrote that it includes "the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, along with their allies."
The Israeli occupation quickly divorced itself from the rules of the two-week ceasefire, stating that while it supports the ceasefire with Iran, Lebanon was not included, despite Sharif's post explicitly naming a ceasefire in Lebanon.
Following the implementation of the ceasefire, the Iranian army stated that it downed an Israeli Hermes 900 drone over the southern Fars province, stating that any US or Israeli aircraft spotted over Iran's airspace will be deemed hostile and considered a violation of the ceasefire.
The occupation further launched over 100 airstrikes on Lebanon in the span of 20 minutes, leading to hundreds of martyrs and injuries. This led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz in response by Iran, and later defensive operations by Hezbollah, who stated that its retaliatory attacks will not end until the aggressions against Lebanon cease as well.
