"Israel" is bogged down on the Lebanon front, and its political leadership lacks a clear, coherent strategy, leaving the United States to effectively manage the broader regional escalation against Iran, with "Israel" functioning mainly as "an operational arm" within that larger confrontation.

The strike on Sunday afternoon in Beirut’s Southern Suburb was described by Maariv commentator Avi Ashkenazi in varying terms, including as an excuse and a few operational symbols, adding that there was "nothing more than that". He said that two fighter jets carried out four missile strikes, destroying a four-room apartment, citing Israeli claims that the site was linked to operational figures, including a senior Hezbollah liaison officer.

"Iran is once again proving that it is the strongest on the field here. It will determine what happens, and to Israel's regret, once again the Israeli political echelon is becoming a kind of punching bag of Iran and Donald Trump", wrote Ashkenazi.
