Ministry of Fisheries condemns Saudi-led forces crimes against 17 of fishermen
The Ministry of Fisheries condemned the arbitrary and criminal actions targeting Yemeni fishermen by the US-Saudi led aggression forces.
The ministry said in a statement that the Saudi-led forces detained 17 fishermen and locked them in the occupied island of Hanish, and they were investigated, tortured, and confiscated their possession of fish in an arbitrary manner and in a contrary to the norms and international laws that forbidden subjugated civilians to any form of torturing and detention.
The statement added that the arbitrary detention of the 17 fishermen continued, as the aggression countries handed them over to the mercenary security forces in Al-Khokha for interrogation and they are still there up to this moment.
The Ministry of Fisheries appealed to the United Nations and international human rights and humanitarian organizations to intervene to release the fishermen and stop these criminal acts targeting fishermen by the countries of aggression and considered such deeds as war crimes.
