Continued Detention of Oil Tankers Threatens Humanitarian Catastrophe

The Executive Director of the Petroleum Company, Eng. Ammar Al-Adrai, warned, Thursday, of a humanitarian catastrophe as the aggression forces continue to detain oil tankers at sea, according to almasirah.

During a meeting with the resident representative of the United Nations Development Program, Oki Lotsma, Al-Adari confirmed that the forces of aggression are still holding 10 oil tankers despite having obtained UN permits to enter the port of Hodeidah.

He added that the continued detention of the tankers threatens to stop the service sectors and threatens a humanitarian catastrophe.

He explained that stopping the supply of petroleum products threatens the lives of a thousand children in incubators and 4 thousand patients in need of dialysis, pointing out that the scarcity of oil products has caused damage to agricultural products, which threatens the food security of citizens.
