A protest stand in Sana’a warns of the deterioration of food security sources due to the continued piracy on fuel ships

The Agriculture and Irrigation Office in the Capital Municipality held the United Nations and the US-Saudi aggression coalition fully responsible for the repercussions of the continued detention of oil derivatives ships on vital sectors, especially agriculture, which represents a source of food security.

The participants organized by the Agriculture Office in cooperation with the Yemeni Oil Company in front of the United Nations office in Sana’a today, Tuesday, called on the international community and humanitarian and human rights organizations to pressure the forces of the US-led aggression coalition to allow the entry of fuel ships to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe.

The statement of the Agriculture Office in the Secretariat, which was read by the director of the office, Ibrahim Sharaf Al-Din, warned of the catastrophic consequences for the agricultural sector and the humanitarian situation in Yemen in general as a result of the continued detention of fuel ships and the prevention of their entry to the port of Hodeidah.

He stressed that maritime piracy on oil derivatives ships led to the deterioration of food security sources, the decline of most agricultural areas, the decline in productivity and the doubling of the suffering of farmers.
