Palestinian Resistance Groups Target Israeli Settlements in Retaliatory Strike
Palestinian resistance groups return the Israeli regime’s aggression against the Gaza Strip by firing retaliatory rockets at Israeli settlements in the occupied territories.
The counterstrikes took place after the occupying regime targeted several locations across Gaza, including the city of Khan Yunis in the southern part of the enclave.
The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas said the Israeli regime had hit its positions during the aggression, prompting the group to fire several rockets toward the occupied territories.
Palestinian resistance movements also claimed responsibility for earlier rocket attacks targeting the occupied territories that took place following the death in Israeli detention of Khader Adnan, a senior leader of the Islamic Jihad, Hamas’ fellow Gaza-based resistance movement.
Palestinian resistance groups and authorities hold the Israeli regime responsible for the “murder” of Adnan, who was found unconscious in his cell and taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead after an 87-day hunger strike that he had staged in protest at his incarceration.
Reporting on ongoing crossfire between the groups and the regime, Palestinian media outlets, meanwhile, said the resistance groups had been forced to fire at Israeli warplanes, which were keeping up their attacks on the northern and southern parts of the coastal sliver.
