Yemeni Defense Officials Assert National Unity and Territorial Integrity as Red Lines
The Yemeni Minister of Defense, Major General Mohammed Nasser Al-Atifi, and the Chief of Staff, Major General Mohammed Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari, have emphasized that “our national unity and the safety of our territories are red lines, and our readiness for peace is the same as our readiness for war.”
This statement was made in a congratulatory message sent by the Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff on Sunday to Sayyid Abdulmalik Badreddin Al-Houthi on the occasion of the 33rd National Day of the Yemeni Republic (May 22).
Al-Atifi and Al-Ghamari highlighted that Yemeni unity is a historical achievement that reflects the free Yemeni will, which will not be affected by the small-scale projects of some.
They said, “We are monitoring the American and Zionist movements and interventions in the region, which aim to obstruct peace efforts and divert their course in order to return to war,” adding that the enemies seek to tear apart national unity, hinder progress on the humanitarian file, and continue the unjust siege on our country and people.
They further stated that the current opportunity for peace is the last chance for the enemies, as what follows will be the decisive word of our armed forces in all their ranks and formations, with Allah’s permission and strength.
Furthermore, they reiterated their support for all major causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, which is currently facing the most heinous forms of crimes perpetrated by the usurper Zionist entity.
Moreover, they confirmed the readiness of the armed forces for all options to defend the nation, its unity, sovereignty, and all of its achievements.
