Doctors Without Borders said that it is inhumane for the Israeli occupation army to continue displacing Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.
According to the statement published by the organization on the “X” platform yesterday, Thursday, the Israeli occupation forces forced Palestinians in the areas of Deir al-Balah and Khan Yunis to flee, while many people, including members of MSF, tried to move to the Mawasi area to the south.
The organization’s worker in Gaza, Jacob Granger, confirmed that the ongoing forced displacement of Gazans is inhumane.
Granger stressed that the displaced Gazans no longer have any property and no place to go.
For her part, the organization’s medical coordinator in the region, Julie Faucon, reported that they have noticed an increase in skin diseases such as scabies resulting from the lack of cleaning materials.
With the ongoing bombardment, people are forced to seek shelter in a shrinking area, while conditions worsen and diseases continue to spread, often affecting the most vulnerable, such as children,” said Focon.
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), between July 1 and August 21, Israel issued 16 evacuation orders, while an estimated 213,000 Palestinians were forcibly displaced from the beginning of August to August 16.
Israel has been forcing Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to move from one place to another under evacuation orders it has issued since the war began on October 7.
According to UN data, 9 out of 10 people in the Gaza Strip have been displaced by Israeli attacks.
The organization’s data also indicates that most Palestinians in Gaza are forced to move at least once a month.
Displaced people fleeing Israeli attacks live in desperate conditions in their areas of refuge, trying to cling to life in primitive tents.
