Gaza Under Attack Again as International Response Remains Unchanged
Over the past 48 hours alone, 130 Palestinians, including dozens of children and women, have been killed, and 263 others wounded, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health. The ministry confirmed that many victims remain trapped under the rubble, as rescue teams are unable to retrieve them due to fuel shortages and the destruction of civil defense equipment and heavy lifting machinery. Since the war resumed on March 18, the death toll has surpassed 634, with 1,172 wounded. The total number of martyrs since the beginning of the aggression in October 2023 has now reached 49,747 killed and 113,213 injured, while the fate of over 14,000 missing persons remains unknown.
ZIONIST ENEMY RESUMES ATTACKS AFTER BREAKING CEASEFIRE
The latest escalation follows the Zionist enemy’s breach of the ceasefire agreement reached in January under Qatari and Egyptian mediation. Zionist Prime Minister and war criminal Netanyahu refused to proceed with the second phase of the deal, which included the release of prisoners and the entry of humanitarian aid. Instead, he yielded to the demands of his extremist partners in government, launching a new offensive with full American approval—despite the U.S. being a supposed mediator and guarantor of the ceasefire.
The Zionist enemy’s latest assault began at dawn on Tuesday, March 19, systematically targeting civilians. The first massacre, now known as the “Suhoor Massacre,” was committed as families gathered for the pre-dawn Ramadan meal.
THE LATEST MASSACRES: FROM NORTH TO SOUTH
The scenes of destruction stretch across Gaza, from the north to the south. In Beit Lahia, an Israeli artillery strike on displaced people’s tents near a school killed a young girl and two others. In Gaza City’s Shuja’iyya neighborhood, an Israeli airstrike on the Imad Aqel Mosque killed two more people. Meanwhile, in the Zaytoun neighborhood, south of Gaza City, the death toll from the Zionist bombardment of civilian homes rose to five. Airstrikes continue across Deir al-Balah and Rafah, where dozens have been critically wounded.
Zionist forces are also deliberately targeting aid workers and journalists. On March 15, an Israeli airstrike on Beit Lahia killed nine relief workers, while an employee of Doctors Without Borders was killed in Deir al-Balah last Friday. According to the United Nations, over 300 aid workers have been killed since October, severely disrupting humanitarian assistance for those in dire need.
On the ground, Zionist forces have intensified their invasion of Gaza, recently expanding their military operations into Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis. Zionist media reports suggest additional reinforcements are being deployed, signaling an even deadlier phase of the assault. The areas under threat of invasion are home to thousands of displaced families who had previously fled violence, believing these locations to be safe.
INTENSIFIED SIEGE AND WORSENING HUMANITARIAN CRISIS
Since early March, the Zionist enemy has re-closed Gaza’s border crossings, worsening an already unbearable humanitarian catastrophe. After 15 months of relentless war, famine, and destruction, officials in Gaza have renewed their desperate appeals for international intervention. With food and medicine supplies nearly depleted and humanitarian aid programs suspended, the situation is growing increasingly dire.
“The occupation is blocking the entry of everything—even essential supplies for children and pregnant women are unavailable,” said the director of a regional relief organization. Dalia Abu Mursa, an aid worker, warned, “People in Gaza are eating tree leaves. If this siege continues for another two weeks, we will witness mass starvation—we are already on the brink.”
The numbers paint a grim picture. Food prices in Gaza have skyrocketed by 300%, while 70% of food assistance programs have been halted due to supply shortages. Even the few aid shipments that do arrive are becoming less effective due to a cash liquidity crisis. Desperate residents are forced to pay fees of up to 27% to withdraw their money from closed banks. “Every $1,000 in aid loses a quarter of its value because of these fees,” said a charity worker. “The catastrophe is beyond imagination.”
DISEASE OUTBREAKS ON THE RISE
Hunger is not the only threat. The destruction of sewage and water infrastructure has contaminated drinking water, leading to the spread of disease among displaced populations crammed into makeshift tents. Containing these outbreaks is becoming increasingly difficult and could soon spiral out of control.
Compounding the crisis is Gaza’s fuel shortage, which has halted rescue operations for those trapped under collapsed buildings. International organizations warn that 95% of Gaza’s population is now food insecure, and the northern region has already entered the stage of full-scale famine.
GLOBAL PROTESTS AGAINST THE ZIONIST ENEMY’S AGGRESSION ON GAZA
As the bombardment of Gaza intensifies, so do international protests. In Morocco, thousands marched in cities such as Tetouan, Tangier, and Casablanca, waving Palestinian flags and calling for an end to the Zionist enemy’s aggression. Across Europe, demonstrations erupted in London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Oslo, condemning the Zionist enemy’s renewed attacks on civilians.
In London, protesters gathered outside the Israeli embassy, accusing the Zionist enemy of committing “genocide”. A march in Paris, initially organized against racism, quickly turned into a show of solidarity with Palestine, with demonstrators demanding that Zionist war criminals be prosecuted internationally.
In Jordan, a massive demonstration in Amman called for the severing of all ties with the Zionist enemy. Meanwhile, in the U.S., protests took place outside the White House in Washington and Times Square in New York, urging an arms embargo against Israel.
Protests also erupted in Ankara, where Turkish demonstrators accused the Zionist enemy of war crimes. In Karachi, Pakistanis took to the streets in solidarity with Gaza. Demonstrations were also held in Chile and Spain, where protesters denounced American support for the Zionist enemy’s aggression. In Norway, activists demanded the closure of the Israeli embassy in Oslo, labeling the Zionist enemy a “criminal and terrorist entity.”
Despite the growing outcry, international powers have yet to take meaningful action, leaving Gaza’s civilians to endure yet another wave of bloodshed and devastation.
