Sana’a Local Authority condemns US aggression airstrike on residential area

The local authority in the capital city of Sana’a has strongly condemned a US aggression airstrike that targeted a civilian residence in Sheab al-Hafa area in Shu’ub district in the capital Sana’a

In a statement the local authority denounced the “heinous crime,” reporting a preliminary death toll of four, including two women, and 23 injuries, including 11 women and children. The aggression also caused damage to multiple homes.

The local authority characterized the targeting of civilians and residential areas in Sana’a and other provinces as “full-fledged war crimes” and a “flagrant violation” of international humanitarian law.

The statement emphasized that these crimes would not go unpunished and that Yemen retains its right to self-defense and to continue its support for the Palestinian people in Gaza until the “war of extermination, starvation, and displacement” ends.

The local authority accused the US aggression of deliberately targeting civilians and residential neighborhoods, demonstrating a persistent desire to shed Yemeni blood, amidst what they described as “suspicious international and UN complicity and silence.”

The local authority asserted that such brutality would only strengthen the Yemeni people’s resolve to confront the US and support Gaza.

The statement condemned the silence of the United Nations and the international community regarding the ongoing US attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure in Yemen.

The local authority called upon global citizens and advocates for freedom to reject and condemn these “crimes of aggression” and to demand immediate action to halt the “massacres and crimes of genocide” in Gaza and Palestine, which they claim are being committed with “absolute American support.”
