Norway Criticizes Western Silence on Israeli Crimes in Gaza

Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide criticized the silence of many Western countries regarding the genocide being committed by the Israeli enemy against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
This came during a joint press conference held with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Thursday in the capital, Ankara, where the two ministers discussed developments in the Middle East, most notably the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza.
The Norwegian minister said, “I am deeply concerned by the silence of some of my Western counterparts regarding what is happening in Gaza,” considering the failure to express positions on this tragedy a “grave mistake.”
Eide explained that Norway was not among the silent countries, but was among the first to call for an immediate ceasefire.
The minister emphasized that his country is approaching the conflict from a firm stance based on respect for international law, calling on the international community to adopt consistent and public positions to protect human rights principles and avoid double standards.
