The World Food Programme reported today, Thursday, that 90,000 women and children in Gaza need urgent treatment for malnutrition.
In a press release, the WFP confirmed that the hunger crisis in Gaza has reached new and shocking levels of despair.
"The flow of food aid is the only solution to stop the famine in Gaza before it worsens, and there is no time to waste," it said.
Since March 2, Israel has evaded further implementation of a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas and closed Gaza's crossings to aid trucks stacked at the border.
Israel has been blockading Gaza for 18 years, and approximately 1.5 million Palestinians, out of a population of approximately 2.4 million in the Strip, have been left homeless after the war of extermination destroyed their homes.
