Foreign Minister Jamal Amer sent a letter to Khalil al-Hayya, head of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas," which was delivered to Hamas' office in Sana'a.
In the letter, Minister Amer reiterated Yemen’s unwavering support for Hamas’ courageous and steadfast negotiating stance, emphasizing that the ongoing negotiations amid the genocide in the Gaza Strip represent "another battle no less critical than the battle of arms."
He expressed Sana'a’s pride in Hamas’ positions, which prioritize the interests and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people above all considerations, and reject any compromises on the dignity of the nation.
The Foreign Minister noted that the Yemeni Armed Forces had announced the start of the fourth phase of the naval blockade against the Israeli enemy, explaining that this decision came in response to rapid developments and the continued genocide and suffocating siege on Gaza.
The letter affirmed that the new phase includes targeting all ships affiliated with any company dealing with Israeli enemy ports, regardless of the company’s nationality, wherever they can be reached by the Yemeni Armed Forces. A clear warning was issued to all companies to immediately halt dealings with Israeli ports, stressing that any non-compliant vessel would become a "legitimate target, regardless of its destination."
Minister Amer clarified that Yemen’s military operations, which began in November 2023 by targeting Israeli ships or those heading to Israeli entities in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb Strait, Gulf of Aden, and Arabian Sea—alongside missile and drone attacks on targets inside Israel—reflect an unwavering, principled stance.
The letter emphasized that Yemen’s military operations serve as a clear message to the enemy and its supporters that the continuation of aggression and siege will not go unanswered, stressing that all Yemeni military operations will cease immediately upon a full cessation of Israeli aggression and the lifting of the siege on Gaza.
The Foreign Minister called on all nations to uphold their responsibilities and pressure the Israeli enemy to halt its aggression and lift the siege to avoid further escalation. He affirmed that "unity, collective efforts, and escalating resistance in all forms are the only path to breaking the enemy’s strength and achieving victory."
