Member of the Lebanese Parliament’s Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, MP Hassan Fadlallah, stated in remarks to Agence France-Presse that “we will defeat, through resistance, the ‘yellow line’ declared by Israel.”
Fadlallah was referring to an announcement by the Zionist enemy military regarding the establishment of a “buffer zone” in southern Lebanon, which includes dozens of Lebanese towns. He said the Zionist entity claims it has taken control of these areas militarily and through firepower, comparing it to the “yellow line” system it has implemented in the Gaza Strip.
He added on Monday that it is in the interest of the Lebanese president to move away from the path of direct negotiations with the Zionist entity.
These remarks come amid Lebanon’s entry into direct negotiations with the Zionist enemy entity, which have faced widespread public opposition as well as objections from prominent political forces. The talks have included meetings between the Lebanese and "Israeli" ambassadors in Washington, along with the "Israeli" ambassador to Lebanon.
Fadlallah emphasized that “we want the ceasefire to continue and be accompanied by an Israeli withdrawal,” stressing that “no one, inside or outside Lebanon, will be able to disarm Hezbollah.”
A ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and the Zionist entity came into effect at midnight on Thursday–Friday, lasting for 10 days, following approximately 46 days of intensified Israeli attacks on Lebanon that resulted in more than 2,200 deaths and thousands of injuries.
