Head of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, Khalil al-Hayya, commended Yemen's honorable stance in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza, acknowledging the country's continued solidarity amidst the ongoing Zionist aggression against the Strip.

During a telephone conversation with Sana'a-based Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulwahid Abu Raas, al-Hayya conveyed his greetings to Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi and the Yemeni people, expressing gratitude for Yemen's steadfast backing of the Palestinian cause.

In response, Abu Raas reaffirmed Yemen's principled and unwavering position in support of the Palestinian people and their just cause, emphasizing that Palestine remains the central issue of the Islamic Ummah.

He stated that Yemen's leadership, government, and people stand firmly with the Palestinian people until they secure their legitimate rights and establish an independent state on all Palestinian territory, with Holy Al-Quds as its capital.

The two parties also discussed recent developments in the Palestinian arena. Abu Raas further extended condolences to al-Hayya regarding the martyrdom of his son, Azzam, praying for divine mercy for the deceased and patience for his family.

Yemen has maintained a vocal and active position in support of Gaza since the outbreak of the Israeli military campaign against the Strip, repeatedly asserting that the Palestinian cause remains central to the Islamic Ummah.

Yemeni authorities have linked their regional military operations to efforts aimed at pressuring the Zionist entity to cease its aggression and siege on Gaza.
