FM: World Refugee Day an occasion to remind international community its responsibilities

Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Monday considered , World Refugee Day,  an occasion to remind the international community to continue its responsibilities towards humanity and to strengthen efforts to achieve peace, end suffering and achieve stability around the world.

The Foreign Minister pointed out in a letter to UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi on, World Refugee Day, to the developments in the situation in Yemen over the past five years.

He called  the international community and organizations concerned to condemn the crimes and violations committed by the Saudi-Emirati aggression alliance in Yemen and pressure on countries of aggression to respect international humanitarian law and international human rights law.

Minister Sharaf warned of the seriousness of the humanitarian disaster that suffered the Yemeni people as a result of the aggression and comprehensive blockade

Minister Sharaf warned of the seriousness of the humanitarian disaster that suffered the Yemeni people as a result of the aggression and comprehensive blockade, and continuation of the alliance of aggression and its mercenaries the policy of starvation and the practices of collective punishment against the Yemeni people.

The letter stressed the importance of taking advantage of the current international trend towards the beginnings of a peaceful and just political solution.
