Destructing expired school feeding of WFB in Amran
The Violations Prosecution, the Bureau of Industry and Trade, the Local Authority, Standards and Specifications, and Amant Al-Asimah and School Nutrition Branch, the implementing partner of the World Food Program in Amran Governorate, destroyed quantities of expired school feeding, provided by the World Food Program.
The amount destroyed was estimated at 2,800 cartons ”of the assistance provided by the World Food Program.
During the process of destruction, the deputy prosecutor for violations in Amran, Al-Qadi Abdullatif al-Shahari, explained that the damage was done according to the records submitted to the prosecution in which it was proved that those materials were corrupt and expired.
It is worthy to mention that the damaged materials were distributed in the schools of Amran and Dhebeen districts, and they were withdrawn from the program’s storage centers after the competent authorities made sure that they were expired and did not conform to the standards and quality.
Governmental bodies and social activities called for the World Food Program and various organizations upon importing the aid to comply with the quality and validity specifications and the required specifications and standards.
The destruction process was attended by the director of Amran, Nabiyh Abu Shusa, the director of industry and specifications and standards , the humanitarian affairs representative and the security authorities.
