Saudi Arabia registers 24 new corona virus cases
Saudi Arabia reported 24 new corona virus cases, bringing the kingdom’s total to 45, the state news agency reported, citing the health ministry.
It added that one patient has recovered.
According to the ministry, the 24 new cases include two people who just came back from Iraq.
The ministry explained that the first and second cases were citizens who were quarantined after returning from Iraq.
It added that the third case was of a 12-year-old Saudi girl who was in contact with her grandfather who came back from Iran.
The ministry said that the other 21 Egyptians who had contact with an Egyptian visitor previously reported to have the coronavirus.
This brings the total number of infections to 45, one recovered and the rest is now in quarantine, and health care is provided in accordance with the procedures adopted.
Earlier in the day, Saudi Health announced that nearly 2,500 cases of home insulation had been subjected to home isolation procedures in case of possible contracting with the new corona virus.
