30000 Coffee seedlings to be planted in Dhamar
The Office of Agriculture and Irrigation in Dhamar inaugurated the cultivation of 30000 coffee seedlings, with community participation,, in the areas of Marwa, Al-Shuaiba, Hura, Al-Jahdana, Al-Hifa, Al-Nasha, Al-Tuj, Mahashi Al-Sfaira, Shaaban, Beit Al-Hajji , Maabarah, and Beit Al-Jabri in the Maghrib Ans directorate.
The director of the provincial agricultural office, Eng. Hilal Al-Jishari, explained that planting coffee seedlings, which was distributed among ten thousand seedlings through the office, and twenty thousand seedlings through farmers from their small nurseries, comes within the framework of the current agricultural season.
He pointed to launching a community initiative to uproot Qat trees, plant alternative trees for it, and expand future legume cultivation.
He pointed to the implementation of a field trip to meet with farmers and selecting of rural leaders to form an agricultural association for agricultural producers and reactivate the previous association in the region and provide the guides with plastic bags to grow and propagate the types of seedlings in the nurseries of farmers.
