YPC holds Saudi-led aggression fully responsible for any cessation of basic services in light of Corona outbreak
The official spokesman of the Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) spokesman Amin al-Shabati on Friday held the United Nations and Saudi-led coalition countries fully responsible for any cessation of basic services provided to Yemeni people in light of Corona pandemic outbreak.
This came during a protest organized by the company’s employees and its unions in front of the United Nations office in Sanaa, after the 57th Friday prayer, titled “Despite the blockade and the epidemic ..Together to enhance performance.”
Al-Shabati explained that the aggression coalition continues to piracy on ships carrying oil, food and medicines by holding them at sea for varying periods of up to four months, despite obtaining UN permits and undergoing UN inspection in Djibouti.
A statement issued by the protest demanded the United Nations to play its humanitarian and legal role towards the Yemeni people and put pressure on the aggression coalition countries to release oil ships.
