WHO refuses to comment on Trump’s decision to cut its funding

The World Health Organization (WHO) declined to comment on US President Donald Trump’s decision to cut US funding to the organization and cut ties with it.

The CNN quoted a WHO spokesman as saying on Saturday in a statement in this regard, “We have no comment to present at this stage.”

The US President had announced earlier that his country would stop funding the World Health Organization, and said, “The amount we fund with the organization, which is approximately 450 million dollars annually, will be directed to cover other urgent public health needs around the world.”
