The Office of Industry and Trade directs to use the compound flour products “a mixture of several types of local grains”
The Office of Industry and Trade in the Capital Secretariat has directed all bakeries and ovens to use local compound flour products as “a mixture of several types of local grains”.
The office stressed in a circular directed to ovens, bakeries, and points of sale that the weight of a single loaf should be 50 – 60 grams, at a value of 20 riyals.
The circular indicated that 25% of orders for complex brown bread should be handled to encourage domestic production of corn.
