Women’s activities in the capital, Sana’a, to commemorate Ashura
On Sunday afternoon, eight women marches took place in the capital Sana’a, with mass participation in several districts.
The squares of the capital witnessed women’s activities to commemorate Ashura, the martyrdom of Imam Hussein in Karbala, organized by the Women’s Cultural Authority of Ansar Allah.
The participants emphasized their continuation of the same path of Imam Hussein and his women’s family, peace be upon him, in the face of the forces of arrogance and hegemony.
During the events, speeches and poems were delivered that spoke about the revolution of Imam Hussain and the position of truth that he had taken in the face of tyrants and oppressors.
They highlighted the tragedy of Ashura and the tragedy that followed as a result of the deviation away from the teachings of Islam.
The words linked the tragedy of Imam Hussain, when he stood alone in front of oppressors, to the crimes inflicted on him, his children and his family, and to the tragedy of Yemen today, which has been standing for over five years in the face of Saudi-American aggression.
The participants also affirmed that they will continue to support the heroes of the army and the popular committees in the battle to defend the homeland and its sovereignty and purify it of invaders.
