Ministry of Health condemns bias of Griffiths to the coalition, ignorance of suffering of the Yemeni people
The Ministry of Public Health and Population condemned the bias of the UN envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths in favor of the Saudi aggression coalition and his deliberate disregard for the suffering of the Yemeni people and the deterioration of the health situation due to the blockade and preventing the entry of oil derivative ships.
In a statement, the ministry said that the UN envoy Griffiths confirmed through his actions and statements over the past two years his complete bias alongside the US-Saudi Aggression coalition where his period of as envoy to Yemen did not witness any improvement or progress in the level of humanitarian and health services.
The ministry’s statement considered the statement issued by the UN envoy over his deep concern about the great shortage of fuel suffered by the Yemeni people, and his fallacy in this regard is a clear indication of complicity with the aggression coalition towards the aggression and siege Yemeni people has been exposing for more than five years.
The statement considered the deliberate disregard of the UN envoy and turning a blind eye to the tragic situation suffered by the health sector as a result of the continued ban on the entry of oil derivatives by the aggression coalition so as not to show a humanitarian gap that may draw the attention of the international community what has been suffering by Yemen of the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Yemen at the health level and others levels.
The Ministry held the United Nations, its Secretary-General, and its Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths primarily responsible for the catastrophic health situation due to the continuing disruption of oil derivatives, which affects 80% of patients with chronic diseases and accidents, emergencies, and those who also live in the countryside and are unable to access the necessary health services in city centers.
