UAE forces threaten to bomb Islah militants in Shabwa

UAE threatened on Tuesday the Saudi-backed exiled “Hadi’s government” to bomb its militants in Shabwa province, east of Yemen, according to informed sources.

The sources affirmed that the UAE threatened to target any military force loyal to the Islah Party approaching the port of Balhaf (LNG), which was took control of the second half of 2016 by the UAE forces.

On the other hand, the advisor to the Minister of Information in the “Hadi government” “Mukhtar Al-Rahbi” demanded, on his Twitter account, Shabwah governor, Mohammad bin Adiu, loyal to the Party, to move and expel the Emirati forces from the gas facility in Balhaf area.

The Islah militants have imposed a military cordon, led by Abd Rabbo Lakab, and created military sites and fortifications in front of the LNG’s gate since early October.

Yemen LNG (also called YLNG) is the first natural gas liquefaction (LNG) project in Yemen. The LNG plant is located in Balhaf area.
